DMX, 09 Dec 2022Sony Xperia Pro-I ?Dont have a clue. Valid Sony leaks are pretty nonexistant for over a year now. Most secure leak free OEM they have become.
But usually they start heavy advertising of their prior model on social, a month before new announcement. And Heavy advertising of 5 IV started about 10 days ago...
So all things point to a postChristmas announcement....

There is a software bug that causes an echo when phone is on loudspeaker. Sony's customer service isn't great. Love the phone but will be returning :(

I'm one of Sony fans, I used to buy Sony phones for 8 years continuously, I bought 3 phones in the past (all of them are the middle level) and finally I bought this new Sony 1 IV, it was the worst decision I've ever made!!!
It's the most expensive phone I ever bought and it should be the best, but unfortunately since I just bought it I found many friends complaining about my voice is very low in the phone calls, soon after I found that it gets hot very easily and without using heavily! Finally the screen touch started to stop sometimes or lose its sensitivity and became so hard to use it normally, by the way, it never fell down and I don't play games on the phone and I don't use it heavily by any way!
Finally I sent it back to Sony repairing center in Taiwan and they told me that they don't know what's the problem but anyway they have just changed the screen set, the microphone and the battery!
I haven't got it back yet but I really hated this phone and hated Sony brand after many years of adoring this brand! I don't want to use this phone again but if I sell it, I'll lose too much money as it won't be sold after this repairing for more than 200 USD while I just bought it 4~5 months ago for 1300 USD!
I really hate Sony now and I will never use its products again even if for free! 😏

I have bought this phone last week. The device sometimes gets a bit warm during heavy use but not that hot. Cameras are great and the overall phone is great. One of the reasons to buy was the headphone Jack and the other is the no notch on the screen. I hated that notch from my previous Galaxy S10+. Props to Sony for keeping useful things that other manufacters are droping.

I got this phone last week and received Android 13 update and it is very smooth & excellent performance and no heat issue
