Super smooth and even battery holds for 1+ day.Its just my bad experience with 1 mark IV that seems to be run purely on google not so great bits and works like most expensive mobile electric oven.

Great phones that are wotking perfect! Do not say that Sony software is degrading over time because it's NOT TRUE! they are timeless phones that will work for many years! Premium quality! And if you don't know how to use the camera like a professional that doesn't mean that the camera isn't good, omg! And the Android is almost stock clean! So like I said earlier, it's a matter of taste, sony xperia is NOT for everyone! Cheers.

So far most usless and overrated phone ever. Pretty much medium range camera with some google functions. No helpful gesture function, no nothing. Typical google spying engin with usless google stuff. Priced like a pro phone while its neither a good camera nor a phone. Good hardware doesnt make it work smooth. 5 min and it swithc off due the overheating plus work a if powered by coal steam engine...Not recommended at all. Gonna come back to my old z3 c wich seems to work faster then this thing. Ps. Gonna try to root it and instal some usefull non google infected rom.If that doesnt help its gonna go .

They are just following the trend, sadly. Remember xperia 1 mark 3 had all the goodies in the box when all the competition samsung and apple had nothing than the phone! And no, the s22u 256gb version is 1200e and the xperia 1 4 is just 978e and you can easily add 1tb SD card. So it's just a matter of taste right now. Sony is cheaper! But you are right about the reselling/trade option/power.

When Samsung offers $1000 TIV for a S21U with a cracked screen. It's hard to really beat that...I'm also not a fan of Sony not even giving you a charging cable with their phones anymore...I can kinda excuse the chargers since I do already have better chargers at home but cables break all the time. Google even gives you a USB-C to USB-A adapter in the box along with the cable.
Sony: Hey lets keep the headphone jack and the Micro SD card slot.
Also Sony: Hey lets remove the charger, headphones, and charging cable from the box.
Kinda contradictory there. Whats next? you don't even get a box?

I respect everyone's choices but picking an 1 iv is a perfect option at this price nowadays! No more overheating problems after the last updates! A powerful processor will overheat in any phone. Yes the u22ultra is cheaper {the standard low storage option} but you don't have the option to increase the storage... Sadly. 270e price difference to have that option? Yes please!

It is the only phone at my local Best Buy that is warm when I pick it up from the demo units. All the other demo unit phones are cold when I pick them up. This phone has many other reasons to buy it but if one of your main concerns is "processor performance and thermals" then I might suggest looking at something else.

And you can add a 512gb sd card or 1tb, witch is way more cheaper than the s22ultra any version. So it's a clear win for the Sony! But we must respect everyone's opinions and choice! Cheers!
