You need to keep the proximity sensor covered with your face. It is sensetive and as soon as you move it away for a fraction of a second it turns the screen on and active then your face touches the screen...
If you keep the phone with your right hand, the proximity sensor is about 1.5cm from right corner of the screen.. That needs to be pushed a little more to your ears while talking and kept covered as you speak otherwise screen turns on

Wow 3 years of big Android version updates and 4 years of security updates. It's only mid-range phone. Not flagship.
Can sony do that? No they can't. Xperia is always overpriced, and with bad support.

Filming and... moreHi, I enjoy it also very much for the last 3 weeks but can't solve one very annoying issue: while talking on the phone, and changing the position of the phone, the screen remains touchable and then begins a nightmare thzt once activated the plane mode during a call... Did I missed something in the config ? ( I ran their test and it seems the on sensor works well.

Hi guys, it's nearly 3 weeks I'm using it and I love it. My main issue so far is that when talking on the phone, the screen remains sensitive and it happened to me that those contact activated the plane mode... I tested the sensor with their app and it works fine. Anyone confronted to that same issue?

The only country in our world which works so hard is Japan. Japan is a country which doesn't depend on other countries for survival. Their economy is unique and will be so at all times. But Sony Mobile’s management team has to understand that changes in marketing strategy have to be changed now. Otherwise, their mobile sector would collapse just like Nokia and LG. They didn't try to understand the current market and followed their methodology/principles.
