I have had the phone for a week and I can say that its battery is rubbish. With a 90% charged battery, after 4 hours it is already at 60%. And all I did was listen to music on Bluetooth. It also heats up the phone a lot.

I own one 1 mark 4, it is really a nice phone. holding? camera? speed? screen resolution? all are excellent! the only problem is, for mine, it is easy to get hot when using the super camera

And I'd never give a 15-year-old 1.5k EUR smartphone.
This is device marketed toward professionals, not the general populace.

Sony is no 1 camnera company in the world but not successful to dominate smartphone industry. Sony brand name is bigger than apple Samsung. Sony think about this. Iv is so narrow if it would be around 75 mm and available in my countery i definitely purchase this. I am personally big fan of Sony

It's a proper enthusiast phone and Sony know that. If they went for normal consumer market I reckon they'd take the jack away. But the jack would give use for people who like quality audio or monitoring whilst videoing etc.

I would buy this phone, however that headphone jack makes the phone look ancient. If I pulled my phone out in a bar people would notice the headphone jack and would quite rightly mock me for having a phone akin to something from 2010. Sony, please keep up with the world and remove the headphone jack on your next flagship.

Recieved my Xperia 1 IV on wednesay and returned it friday.
Using the telephoto lens the photos come out extremly soft, I was shooting in manual mode and raw to make sure my shutter speed was correct for the focal length but i kept getting the same result my photos just looked soft like they was blurry and I did not focus properly.
Went onto reddit and people are also mentioning how soft the images are.
Everything about the phone great just the photos for me was a let down using the telephoto lens.
I did not get any heating issues so can't comment on that.

This phone looks amazing but it's too small (too narrow in my opinion). Sony should make two versions of this phone at this point.
