I have OnePlus 9 Pro and it does overheat outside and reduce the screen brightness to very low, so I can see anything when it's sunny outside

Like i said , I don't play games..
Filming and camera (HDR burst)makes it overheat.
Never encountered any over heat on usual stuff like youtube and so on.. here in the UK temperature is aroung 20 in highest at the moment and 12 in lowest and i have never had any over hrating issues...
I think you will experience overheating if you keep filming in 4k and burst HDR over 15min ( how many people really take videos in 15min none stop and burst shot ? Have you ever done it ?) And i think after around 30min it will close the camera app until cool down.
I never take videos or shot for over 10min. Unless there is an event or something which very rarely happens that i need to take video or burst shot for over 30min and not having any chance to let the phone cool fown.
About the phone itself i must say a little about my self first...
I have sickness to change phones every 3-6 month and always bought flagships..
My few previous phones are as followed
Z Fold 3
Iphone 13(not max or pro)
S21 ultra
Z fold 2
Iphone 12 pro max
(This list eas gor the past 2 year)
I know about phone enough and from my experience and comparison to above list i really relaly like this one and it might be the champion who lives in my pocket for a year or two.
Reasons are as followed:
-I like Android (can't tolerate ios even though i know they are good in some aspects) specially nice plain almost stock android on Xperia compare to oneUI
-really like the size and form factor and specially weight compare to z fold 2/3 and s21 ultra and 12pm
-micro sd card (having sony alpha and use my micro sd card in that and can hot swap with the phone and share/edit and watch on the pictures i took with the camera ) also enjoy more memory with the same memory when it is not in use in the camera
-headphone jack(eventhough i may never use it dur to many good Bluetooth headphone i have around)
-Experience of taking pictures (3xnice software on x1iv and shotter bottom camera
-standby time and nice battery consumption compare to Samsung phones mentioned above
-fromt firing speaker which is way nicer quality and bass than xperia 1II (had it for 2 weeks before sending it back) and even Samsung phones mentioned above(iphones speaker feels better but you should always make sure you don't cover them at the edges when holding the phone and also they are not as balanced as X1iv...
-brightness is much better and almost ideal in any condition and a big jump compare to xperia 1II (main reason i send that back and never experienced Xperia 1III so can't comment on latest) but must say samsun s21 ultra still brighter in direct sunlight to the point it is not showing the correct color in sunlight . But i am super happy with what i have in X1iv
I hope this was useful for who ever wants to buy this phone ...

I typed the whole section here with my Xperia 1iV and must mention here i can confirm touch response with tempered glass screen protector much better than X1II and Xperia 1...

Back in 2019 I bought a Xperia 1 till this date it's still working fine it's not perfect but nothing is. I think what was missing in the Xperia 1 is fixed in this phone but damn that price Sony is going nuts

Hope Sony will release an update fix for this like they did with xperia 1 mark 3..[downloacking the power of the processor to avoid overheating], than i'll happily buy! Hope for the best!

Hello guys
I've got this phone since 16 of June in the UK
Upgraded the firmware once so far
I don't play games, but watch a lot of videos and sometimes taking videos and photos of my kids.
I really really enjoy the phone to the point decided to keep this over z fold 3(used that for 3 month only)
X1iv will overheat specially when you taking continues video and burst HDR shots for over 15 minutes.. But i never passed gone that 15 minutes to see what happens...
I did see the overheat sign but it didn't show down the phone or closed any apps within that overheating period.
By the time i get to next filming and burst shots (after like 3 minutes) the phone was cooler(not completely cool down though) and could easily do anything i wanted.
So as far as i didn't want any overheating issues with x1iv,i also understand this is a common problem with SD8GEN1 and not just X1iv. And also it was not a problem for me at all for the past 10 days so far...
Anyone who has a real question and interested to buy this phone ask question and u do my best to answer...

I had the 1-3, and I was on the first firmware out off box with absolutely no problems, yes it use too heat up but no throttling.
If you are smart, you can fix it by rooting, change the CPU threshold and voltage and current settings.
You need too know what you are doing, looks like you are more puppet

Excuse me but where is this standard of flagship pho... moreI was today out in the forest and tok alot of pictures and videorecording in 4 k at 30 fps and use the camera alot and the themperature was about 25 degrees in the shadow and i use the Xperia 1IV also alot in the sun but i did nt got any problems and the did nt overheat at all . So not everyone has that isues and i guess some people who bourgth the dont know how to use it .

Anyways doesn't matter anymore. Everyone is returning their xperia 1 mark 4.. Bcoz of the overheating problem. So until they sony will fix this big problem I would advice everyone to wait and stay out for some time. I wanted to buy it too... But I'm glad I waited for the reviews.. Stay safe.
