Love the specs. ... more- just that is, if you wait too long you can not do return anymore,, but all the same if you wait for some time it may be that Sony will give a fix update and will calm down the overheating.. I do not know what advice I can give you. the choice, the decision is yours! I'll wait a bit for xperia 5 iv to get released... and than i'll buy one of them!

Been waiting for this phone for some time. Love the specs. I will need it for making music videos as well. This is already my second Xperia iv and I'm seriously thinking of changing it for a Samsung or even iPhone. First time I thought it was an unlucky phone because at that time I couldn't read anything about the overheating prob. But with my second phone it's the same problem. Also having problems with both phones with the reliability of the speaker phone. People are complaining allot and hearing themselves double. Never had that with my other phones. So here I am with the best and the worst phone I've ever had. I only have a couple of day to trade it. I tried everything. And I do need to make a lot of video's. Not more than 5 minutes but after a couple of shots it heats up and shuts down. So the reason why I have this phone is exactly what's not working. I wish Sony would speak up a little because this is not normal and for me it proves again that they are playing with parts that are not yet practical. Hope to hear a reason why I shouldn't change it. Not waiting for insults

Some get overheating issues, some don't (and it''s the same device!).
Some s22u users get 8-9h SOT, some get barely 6 (with same settings and usage!).
I think it's more about quality control check and the luck of a customer.
Some get fully functional smartphone from the start while some get painfully buggy experience.

He updated and that's where problems arise.
But I've rooted mine and even if it heats up, I don't get the problems you said.

That is what i wanted to write. I saw some reviews on youtube, you can search them there. Nowdays it;s a big difference between generations because of the more powerful processors! From 9 to 10! In conclusion they upgraded the cooling system! It's a pity that they mixed the oxigen os with color os.. I so hate the notch and the Front camera hole,,,ruining the display on any phone! That's why i love xperia and also their UI!

And yes, i can;t use ios also, i'm an android user. now i have a note 10 + sd855 version[xz2 6gb version, xz premium,xz1 an more phones[older]] , it;s a great phone but i;m a long time sony [ericsson] user/fan. With xperia 1 mark 3 i didn't had a good experience. Once again thank you for the quick response.!
