There is no point on what you are doing. You are only doing this for attention, negative attention. This is unhealthy.

I've buyed Mk4, now waiting for it to be shipped.
Why?
Because I like to have minijack, microSD, not made in China phone.
Why not S22U?
Because of Exynos battery life and overheating issues, and horrible post processing on photos. And because I hate computational photography that you can't disable.
Why not iPhone?
Because I don't like to be told how should I use my own device. And I passionately hate notches.

Sony is not focused anymore on volume sales like everyone else. Call it what you want. A bussiness failure or not, but their desicion for past several years is to sell phones to niche markets in fields where are people already buying expensive stuff and equipment for their photo cameras.
I know that's difficult for some people to understand when comparing other flagships with Xperia but what can you do. It is what it is, because most people like everything to be automated so they don't have to think or know anything about photography and that's fine, but Jesus.. just let people choose what they want if they can afford it and if that's their passion.
Why everthing has to be so sterile, generic and same as everything else to be recognised as "successfull". Isn't variety a good thing?

Price tag: Agree.
Hardware support:
Replacing broken parts is very difficult. When i broke my chinese phone/samsung screen, its service center replace it in less than 1 hour.
But when i broke my xperia screen long ago, the service center could not replace it because the part wasn't sold.
Then.. i switch to other brands.. and never look back to xperia.

Their... moreYet, it's been 12 years since people asked Sony for their Xperia to be closed and it never happens at all even the time has changed... Their phone division is already under the supervision of with their camera division, the Sony Alpha in 2020, and everything since that, the decision is told by Sony Alpha management. Even Alpha sees Xperia as their experiment playground, proof-of-concept realization, so as long Alpha thinks Xperia can be integrated with the Alpha ecosystem all these times, why not? Sony doesn't care about people like you anymore SINCE Xperia 1/1 II, they will just do what they desire. It's like Sony Alpha's training wheel device despite some differences. It's the same case for iPod Touch as a first step into the iOS / iPhone ecosystem before the iPod Touch 7's discontinuation this year. Even when Sony eventually discontinued Xperia, one thing has been reached, Sony achieved its goal to bring Alpha tech into Xperia all these long time, so other manufacturers can do the same tech that may interest them (Eye AF in Vivo, Professional-version of camera app in Samsung, etc.).

I do appreciate that Sony still makes best android phones. I did like HTC, but there's no flagships anymore. I moved to OnePlus since OnePlus 3, but I can not support them anymore (OnePlus 10 Pro is totally disappointment). First Sony was Xperia 1 (not perfect). But Xperia 1 II was a big change. So, I got Xperia 1 III for my wife and waiting for Xperia 1 IV (very promised phone). I had iPhone, Samsung before and I was disappointed as well (never had pixel phone, because someone is making phones for Google, it's not original).

That Sony division is the one carrying Sony all the time, mainly for Sony's incoming revenues and profits outside their Entertainment & Picture Divisions and contributed not too far from their PS division.
