Do you ever heard of "market segmentation" or "target markets" in the first place? You may care with those features like fast charging, battery tech or anything you prefer, but some others prefer having MicroSDXC feature and 3.5mm jack over fast charging. It's like you are forcing a Porsche purist enthusiast to buy Xiaomi SU7 Ultra because it's faster than the Porsche 911 GT3, when Porsche purist are known wanting and defended the option of manual transmission and pure 4.0 Flat 6 engine over an battery-powered device.

The telephoto seems interesting but the sensor size Is such a missed opportunity. Shoulda been atleast 1/1.56". Moreover, why isn't sony using is own flagship sensor on the primary lens. Lyt 900 is 1 inch sensor and naturally better than the lyt 808 on this phone

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2025Fast charging ruins your battery. Sony know this.The problem comes when you assume manufactures "know" everything for you.
Their first priority is to sell their products, which means sometimes their claim is bogus or unproven.
For example, I've looked almost anywhere over internet to see if fast charge really ruins battery life, and I found no proof; furthermore, there are too many different configurations/models / brands... so how do you actually accurately measure in order to prove such a claim?
My "guess" is that fast charging is potentially ruining battery *if it produces too much heat, but again it will be different as there are many types of batteries.
According to my own experience with fast chargers, it did not ruin battery; however, I noticed that some device gets hotter than the other while using the same fast charger.
