Bought this phone as a second one and its very bad
Wanted to see whats all new Xperia is about
-Phone vibrates like crazy when playing audio through speakers (dynamic vibrations disabled). Makes it unusable
-Camera is good ONLY in manual mode. In auto misses exposure and focus (especially bad in low light).
-3 different callers reported "like robot" audio quality on my side. Voice notes are also oquite bad
-Flashlight is so weak might as well not exist
-Did not update OTA. Had to spend 2 hours updating manualy (SO-52A)
-Could not disable back button on on-screen keyboard. Sony just forgot to add this setting
-21:9 makes keyboard too narrow in portrait and too wide in landscape orientation
-2 years of security updates (out of date since nov 2022)
-Unreliable show all apps gesture
What is good about it:
-Smooth and fast
-Very good for one-handed use (idk if you would want to use this anyway)
-Audio and audio features
-Built like a tank and premium-feeling
-Fingerprint scanner in power button and dedicated camera shutter button
-Battery life
You might like it but compared to S20 FE ($200 cheaper at launch) it is inferior in almost every way
Or any of the upsides of this phone have a downside which nullfies it
I am sad to say it it but Sony is sure irrelevant and is irrelevant for good

I'm planning to buy this phone but there's a romor going after android 12 update some devices got green lines. Is that true or just a romor?
And I just want to use this as a gaming device so most of time plugged in charger. If u playing genshin or mlbb or pubg just post ur opinion about this device. Thanks. 🙂

Beginning of every month coming security updates. Get more time for phone that i like. I haven't see that battery drains faster than Sony own firmware.

I have given up iPhones ! Too many restrictions ! Not friendly user ! But I came back to android and the Xperia 5 ii what a very good phone ! I love it so easy to use ! I do strongly recommend this phone !

Bought the softbank version openline. Evrything about this phone is good especially the camera capabilities in manual. The only issue I have is that during phone calls, the person on the other line can't hear me unless I put my mouth close to the mic hole. Has anyone experienced this?

Never ever gonna buy sony phone again. Worst experience ever. 2 years after purchase and I'm out of support, not even security updates... ;(

I have an A002SO version of this phone and JapanSoftbank latest OS update for this phone is only android 11 based on XperiCheck. It's 2023 and yet only android 11? Like seriously SoftBank? Almost all Japanese carriers gave the android 12 last year. Does this SoftBank don't have any plan to release android 12 for this device?
