Im really disappointed because of krait cores!! the trend is so fast!which makes acro s to be at low range phone by the following months, considering the price of acro, I realized that it was too expensive..krait is overkill!!..I am really frustrated because of that. now I want Krait so badly. how I wish I could have just waited a little more. =( Anyway if you want acro s all I can say is this is a great phone with descent specs. I will definitely go to high end quad krait the next time. so that even after 2-3 years I can go par with the competition, and most probably can do what a high end smart phone can do by that time. At his point I must learn on how to be contented with what I have now.

Downsides of this phone are:
-overheating (powerful processors but "only" dual core and water protective housing)
-usb connection jack and headphone jack are bellow water protection covers so in day-to-day use it requires a lot of patience.
-the android punishment (this phone goes with ICS). mark my words: by the December we will have another sweet thing on our hands v 5.0.1234 (maybe baklava or Schwartzvald schnite). newer and newer os versions will put out of the game a phone like this in two years.

I bought this phone two weeks back...It's really a superb phone...camera output is wow.... In my opinion this is value for money. :)

the acro s camera is a superb camera .. in my opinion the lighting on acro s is better than iphone 5 and xperia s... overall I would rate the phone 9/10 and camera 9.5/10

M.I.K., 17 Feb 2013One thing i found incorrect up here is Sim Type - Mini Sim.... moreu should learn more about sim size,
it comes with mini-sim support. what you think of regular/typical sim is mini-sim actually.. the smaller ones are micro-sim and nano-sim.
the normal/full-sized sim is about a credit card in size (or the size of sim card in stater pack before you cut the mini-sim off for your phone)
motorola startac, for example, and any early 90's phones used it.

just got my xperia acro s yesterday...hmmm..i just notice that the camera was not that superb because it only looks like an 8 MP camera than a 12MP cam =(

Review after 1 month use it. I buy Xperia Acro S for my wife. I am still using old samsung y pro (with keyboard).
Pro :
Daily use is good. Last week my wife and me have some little fight. She trow his Xperia Acro S hardly but not break it or leaving a single scratch. Very durable.
ICS is smooth. No lag. No hang etc. Movies qualities superb. Very like the Sony browser, it fast and smooth even for many tabs. I like to play real racing HD 2 by EA Games. Graphic is good but sometimes lag but not so obvious. Still playable.
Camera is good and we like Sony Album behavior. It is cool. Capturing video are surprising very good.
Cons :
Stock earphone quality is bad. No megabass? I dont mind if speaker not so good due to resist dust and water. In fact it is still good to watch movies and gaming.
Battery. In heavy use it is drain quickly. While standby with some mild msg and call can hold almost 2 days. Charging is slow. Really slow. Screen set to medium.
Size. Bold but comfort in hand.
Final.
Performance + display + travel.
Worth for money since water and dust resistant is matter for me.
