As for smartphone battery is very good. I closed a lot of apps, but still using many (including skype - I have free data- so free skype on it with Three Ireland). Normally battery works easily for over 48 hours. If I am talking couple of hours through skype, it may be reduced to bit over 1 day. If I am using phone couple of times a day just for 3 - 5 minutes conversations, battery may last for 4 to 5 days. It is amazing considering other smartphone users problems.

Storage is a disaster, as it doesn't allow saving some apps to external storage.

This model was given to me as a gift and I only use it to listen to MP3s or watch videos.
Scrolling through my song list is a problem because the white scroll bar on the right of the screen, which makes scrolling faster, often doesn't appear.
Sound isn't much, if any, better than that for my old MP3 player.
But I can't complain too much, since it was free.

Had this phone for about 6 months now and I'm sad to say that it is the worst phone I've had. However, I do believe that my main issues are due to a faulty single product and not a large scale issue.
Battery - main issue
Around a month ago my phone battery started to last less and less time, usually going from 100% - 0% in 6 hours. A few days ago I had charged my phone fully, turned it off so as to preserve battery as I was away from home for a week and couldn't charge my phone as needed. It then wouldn't turn on or charge at all. The next day the red light flashed and I managed to get it to charge but this didn't last long. Only when I got home yesterday did I manage to charge it to at least 10% and now its returned to not charging at all.
Storage space
It already has several apps pre installed and this leaves very little space for anything else. I had to disable all the useless apps, including Facebook which didn't work, and still constantly get the low storage space warning. I have an 8mb sd card and I've transferred all I can onto it.
Camera quality
Definitely seen better cameras on phones... inner camera is dark so you can't take decent photos with it and outer camera is blurry unless you're taking the photo from over a foot away.
Sound quality
Pretty decent, not echoey or rough sounds however the storage doesn't allow you to have much music
If I had known all this before I got it then I wouldn't have got this phone because I have a further one and a half years with this phone and it's already unusable

Had the e3 for 4 months now. Here is my review
Build 8/10
Sony known for its sophistication in terms of the design section did not fail on the e3. The build and feel are premium on the hand. Although the back is not made of glass, its self-healing rubber like material prevents that unavoidable scratches when you pop your e3 together with your keys or any other scratchy items. My only critic is the overly placed bevels on the top and bottom which makes the e3 unusually long.
Speed 8/10
In terms of processing power, the speed of the e3 separates it from the mediocre performing set of smartphones. The device is fluid all throughout which i really like.
Sound 10/10
Sound support as known for any sony device is superb. Sound support using your sony earphones is almost noice cancelling. Sound quality is converted by sony in the most crystal clear quality. Overall sound support is very impressive and a nice experience.
Battery 8/10
Battery is decent. Impressive Stamina Mode support, really extends battery life. Nice one for sony. Will surely last for a day with moderate use.
Camera 8/10
I have a lumia 620. Sadly the e3 does not compare with camera quality of lumia range. Although there were hefty camera support features, the image quality is still decent.
Display 8/10
The price range of the e3 compensates for the display department. Although not comparable with some mid range competitors, the display quality will still be decent, although you would still wish that the display be improved a little more.
Overall, the e3 is a good buy if you are looking for an affordable xperia experience. Sony known for building dependable units, the e3 stays true on sony DNA.
