Poor battery life. Had 2 sets with different issues. One set could not charge after 2 weeks, had to go back to sony and they exchanged it. Another set have sudden shutdown issues. Unable to boot unless charger is plug in. Not recommended.

Sony Xperia M5 Dual.
Bought my unit at the Sony shop Hongkong. It shuts down by itself anytime without warning even with a fully charged battery.power button can't turn it back on. Have to connect the charger to turn it back on.
Had reset it and performed the re-installations of software and firmware as suggested by Sony. No solution yet. I think it's a factory defect.

I posted earlier my review about the issue of hanging and rebooting. After I uninstalled Clean Master and Greenify, my m5 hasn't been hanging for more than one day and at least while I'm using it. I also turned off the stamina mode. May be you all can give it a try if you installed these apps.

I bought it about 2 week ago, first it's okay except battery life. Now the phone get overheat and hang and restart all the time.even opening camera apps get heating issue. Hate that phone. It's really disappointed.

Didyou get an... moreYes..i too face sudden shutdown from the M5 only to be start again by charging (thats the killer) ,the second issue of unable to save photos to Sd card after 1week of usage..So disppointed with Sony as i have the impression they make better at least at par other well known brands.

Apart from the cameras, i think there isn't much to talk about in this phone. Battery life is questionable and I don't think it will last even 1 day. Im thinking about exchanging this phone with a z3+. Z3+ has a bigger battery, better gpu and 32 Gb internal storage and the price difference is very little.

P... moreNo gyroscope sensor. I bought the dual sim version. Felt that battery was not upto mark. Play real racing for 30 min and battery goes down by atleast 30%.
About the GPU, felt similar to adreno 320. No stuttering during game play, but some times the frame rate drops during game intro.
1 thing to be talked about in this phone is the processor. Absolutely no heating. Played games gours together but the phone doesn't even get warm. Cameras were ok.
Totally disappointed after noticing the absence if a gyro scope. Has proximity, light sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer and orientation sensor. Just 5 sensors. Even phones worth 10k INR get more sensors. Heard that the next redme note will get the same helios x10 for ~10k INR. Tried htc phones with the same heluis x 10, but all those phones have complete sensors. Nothing missing
