I have seen it in action on my former Neo V.... The smoothness, the responsiveness, the performance improvements in gaming, etc etc..... In short, there should be a noticeable difference in UX.
Although, we shouldn't expect the kind of difference we saw coming from GB to ICS.... Cause JellyBean is nothing but ICS.... how ICS was supposed to be from the start. JellyBean is what took Android to a level where it can proudly say that phones will give the same snappy feeling iOS provides. Lags and stuttering is going to be history (depends on Sony's ability to optimise the NovaThor).

AnonD-542, 07 Apr 2013The reason I said HDR isnt possible on P was because of its... moreXperia P can capture consecutive pictures fast, and there are few apps on Google Play that gives you optuon of taking HDR pictures (HDR Camera for instance).

Sensor noise is not an issue here because only static objects on sunny day makes sense for HDR pictures (because this is situation when you have very bright and very dark areas of picture and lot of dynamics is lost without HDR) and on sunny day you have enough light to vary ISO (from 100 to 400) without having noise in shaded parts of picture.

Of course if you take HDR on cloudy day some noise might appear, but in this situation amount of dynamics that can be captured is not as wide as on sunny day so making HDR doesn't make much sense then.

AnonD-68375, 06 Apr 2013Well, to be honest, HDR is achieved by combining, 2 or more... moreThe reason I said HDR isnt possible on P was because of its inability to snap consecutive photos faster. Software wise it's possible but it will always end up with blurry objects (unless, as you said, the subject is still and there is absolutely no hand shakes). I still dont believe that smartphone camera tech is mature enough to implement HDR just yet..... Oversampling should be the real aim now..... everyone needs to take a cue from pureview tech. UltraPixel, I believe, is a failure. But if somehow both the tech is combined and a separate image encoding chip (a powerful one) is reserved within the phone, just for running the camera.... I think anything will be possible then. Only thing stopping that from happening is the limited battery. Either that needs improvement or higher efficiency chips needs to be made. The upcoming ARM Cortex A57 cores will open up new possibilities.
In short, although HDR is possible in smartphones.... it's just not plausible enough to use.

AnonD-68375, 06 Apr 2013Two more corrections. HDR has nothing to do with real li... moreYes, you are right. But you misinterpreted my words. Noise as you said is created by the sensor's inability to capture the desired amount of photons. And I laid stress on the fact that this 'desired' light can't be achieved on a phone that has fixed aperture resulting in digital manipulation of light (by changing ISO). This makes the noise created by the lens's shortcomings more prominent. I don't think I said anything wrong in that part.
And when I said 'Real life' photos I didn't mean it based on human's perception to light. I just said that to explain the difference between photos that have 'natural' light and photos that have contrasting light on various objects (like the scenes having a brighter background and dimmer subject or vice versa).
And hey.... you are more experienced than me.... correct me if I am wrong. Am just replying to make myself clear.... :D

AnonD-542, 06 Apr 2013High Dynamic Range or HDR is a tech that gives real life li... moreTwo more corrections.

HDR has nothing to do with real life like photos, HDR pictures have much broader dynamic range then human eye, so it's just artificially enlarged dynamic range that gives richer and more detail picture thats pleasent to watch but not noticable by watching in nature with human eyes.

And also, when you talked about noise, you probably ment about blurry and fuzzy parts of picture due to low shutter speed or moving the camera while picturing. Image noise is sole 'property' of image sensor on high ISO (when signal from photons falling on the sensor is too weak to be distinguished from electrical fluctuations on sensor), and has nothing to do with incorrect exposition or to low light to capture fast moving objects.

AnonD-542, 06 Apr 2013High Dynamic Range or HDR is a tech that gives real life li... moreWell, to be honest, HDR is achieved by combining, 2 or more underexposed/overexposed pictures and exposition can be altered by changing any one of three items of "exposition circle": shutter speed, ISO or aperture.

Since on any smartphone aperture is fixed, HDR is achieved by varying ISO or shutter speed. Since HDR of moving objects is not possible (can be done but doesn't look nice) shutter speed is irrelevant, and holding still your smartphone is more important (although microaligning of picture is possible in software).

HDR on Xperia P, or any other smartphone, thus is possible but results might not be as spectacular as on DSLR-s.

I... moreThere is no process for upgrading to JB, there is only regular updating process (if we talk about official updates) which upgrades (if applicable) smartphone to newest firmware available (which might, or might not consist newer android OS).

Currently there is no official update for JB available for Xperia P (although it's coming soon), and when it comes, you will see it on official Sony webpages, and not from trolls on forums.
