I had a problem with the battery. The program Contacts worked nonstop and spent it in a very short time. I reinstalled the operating system and the problem disappeared.

AnonD-20672, 28 Feb 2014I am facing unique type of problem with my SXP. I am from C... moreWell the "problem" is in extremely low temperatures.

It's well known fact that low temperatures drastically shortens battery life (probably because it affects battery chemistry), You can check it if you have another phone and compare battery life in same situations.

Also, it's important to notice that Xperia P have aluminium body, which might give it 'a sexy' look, but on the other hand, in such extreme conditions, battery is more exposed to low temperatures (because metal is very good heat conductor, compared to plastics) and since battery is right beneath the phone case, battery temperature drops to a freezing level much faster then in phones with plastic case.

I am facing unique type of problem with my SXP. I am from Canada where temperature is around -25C in winters. So when I go outside of my house and use phone its battery drains in 4-5 mins and my phone get turned off even it is fully charged. But it is working well inside the room. What could be the problem with my phone? Anyone else facing same?

AnonD-236875, 26 Feb 2014xperia p have usb pod ?? for use usb flash ?? You can connect USB flash via compatible micro-USB to USB cable (not everyone works).

There is no compatibility list regarding USB cables, so you have to test it first.

I am not sure you are doing things right. You cannot install SU (super user) before ADB drivers.

First make sure that you have 'USB debugging' and 'Allow mock location' enabled in Developer section of Settings.

Then verify that you have installed all proper drivers on your computer.

After that try Doomlord's or Bin4ry rooting solution (later is a bit older but might also work).

If that doesn't help, try with different computer (also disable any antivirus software on PC during the procedure).

I successfully rooted my Xperia P on ICS with bin4ry method, but on JB that didn't work for me, but Doomlord's method worked fine.

Also, I would strongly advise you to backup your data (contacts etc.) and Reformat your phone (System Repair through SonyUpdateSrrvice or PCCompanion, or flashing latest JB stock firmware through Flashtool) before rooting and installing CWM because this is the safest way to have troublefree Honami Moonwalked custom ROM.

hi iv been having this phone for about a year. im fed up with this piece of S**t sofware n buggy updates from sony. i recently heard about one of the best roms for XP, the honami moonwalker n ever since been trying in vain to root my device.
It seems rooting JB is not easy and iv even tried Doomlord's root kit but all i get are errors and wont complete the rooting process. Im not even able to install su binary files, let alone the adb drivers for the phone and its frustrating! On top of that i got a Win8 pc and its completely different.

Anyone got a solution? maxym? i just want to get a proper and full performance of the XP. Im tired of all the bugs and lags and just want to get rid of this stock rom.
                                        Many thanks in advance.
