New Buyer, 30 Mar 2012Guys, I'm willing to buy either Xperia S OR Galaxy S2 tomor... moreMan, the Sony beats the SG2 in every way. Performance and aesthetics. However, my 1 day old Xperia S dropped from 2 feet off the ground and got an ugly crack. I'm not sure about its build quality. I owned the Arc S previously and it has fallen more than 20 times and it's emerged unscathed every time. C'mon Sony! My Samsung enemies are laughing at me

With all this non-removal of battery thing as future of smart phones, how do we revive our phone when it gets hanged; the practice was to remove battery & insert back wen cell was hung but now ???

good fone to try .........if it has MC slot and minimum SAR value for physical health.
High SAR effects.... is One main reason why Nokia fones being avoided by many health conscious peoples this days.

Bigger memory means increase power consumption & phone become more laggy. 25Gb+50Gb is one hell big storage you got for your phone now adays!

xperia s has front 1.3mp camera. but can it make video call to another mobile phone? please dont mention skype. i need to know this before i buy this phone.

You must have known the battery was non-removable, 32 gb inbuilt, (a further 50gb is available with a click of a button).For most people this is easily enough. The superphones of the future will all have these features and it would appear to me that Sony are ahead of game. Also what on earth are you doing with your handset that requires it to be charged 4 times a day?

To people going on about the quadcore vs dual core. At the moment my Xperia S runs anything I can throw at it.No lags, crashes ect.
I have also been seeing a few articles about quadcore's being a bit (OTT) over the top for mobiles. Each core requires power just to be maintained ready to be used and then additional power to run properly. For laptops and PC's with wall socket power Quad core chips are more suited. Even intels latest quad core chips are far better in performance than AMD's 8 core chips. They are simply to inefficient. Sooner or later the law of diminishing returns will cause chipset makes to realise more isnt always bigger.
I mean, why dont car makers put bigger and bigger engines in?? They rather make what they have more efficient.

yesterday I tried the xperia s phone and I can say it is one of the best phones available now but every one should should know some facts : in game performance part of vga power is used by the hd screen so when comparing the xperia s with some of lower resolution screen phones the xperia s might lose.
the 12 mp camera is on the top of the market of course only second to 41 mp nokia phone but as most of xperia phones due to small camera sensor the image will become grainy if you watch it fully zoomed unlike the galaxy and iphone.
but what really was very annoying is the 3 small touch buttons,below the screen some times you need to press twice to do the job,and to be fair I gave my friends to try that and we all had the same issue but of course this issue will disappear after ICS update because the buttons will not be needed.
things I liked in the phone : top built quality better than previous xperias ,nice design and the phone can stand on its side by its own so taking photos while you are in it became easy or watching a movie with friend is also a joy.
the screen performance is great with nice black colors and good out door visibility.
the pressing of the camera button while the phone screen is off will take an image in less than 2 seconds.
and lastly I liked the earth moon live wall paper.
