That's because they are both the same kind of processor with different support for networks.
msm 8660 is made for US market mainly I believe while rest of the world uses msm8260

This phone is for exclusive/high class person
Not for kids/teenager who like to have great specs that they're think is cool and more valuable to gaming.

now that they showed xperia P this early.... This will hurt xperia s' market, really sad, even now i am thinking of getting xperia p instead of s, they did not integrate the white magic and also i heard that the novaThor CPU consumes less power.

SONY announced at MWC that Xperia S is now shipping worldwide. Looking forward in the Middle East in mid-March at the latest. So excited to have this Xperia S in my hand.

Hate it or diss its...I love sony....1.5ghz is good enuf plus I don't hv to bother abother the silver panel fadin off....bring it down to nigeria....on the verge of sellin ma xperia arc
