Guys,
I would appreciate if u could shed ur expertise on this.
wana buy a phone i am at a loss what to choose. My budjet is same as that of Xperia U. Which is better, Xperia Ray, U or Samsung Ace2 / S Advance.
Please advise. Samsung Ace 2 doesnt have a scratch resistance glass righ, then it sucks

After using xperia u for about a week (bought it last week), it runs 2.3 gb and no plan updating 4.0 ics yet, here's the good and bad things about the phone based from my experience:
pros:
---very impressive display clarity, almost look like the iphone4s'....just awesome!
---powerful LED flash
---very nice HD video (i used to own a phone capable of shooting VGA only so no complaints)
---camera quality looks decent and sharp...just don't zoom^^
---camera's focusing speed is fast
---2gb of storage for apps...so far only 500mb used. as of now, no evident lags using the default launcher. for me, 1gb will suffice...I'm not the app-hungry type.
---love the new look of user interface...better than the 2011 xperia line-up
---very satisfied with the default music player. It has clear bass and custom equalizer...no need to look for another player (for me).
---battery is average...9-12 hrs of heavy use
---illumination bar doesn't seem to drain battery much as expected, but it can be turned off with an app.
---default browser is fast..opera mini even faster
---nice matte back cover finish
cons:(at least on my xperia u)
---terrible loudspeaker sound output...probably my only main problem about this phone. this is my third phone from sony (2 previous sony ericssons), I must say this is the worst. xloud feature is a joke for xperia u. turning it on only makes the output cracked and distorted...and it's not that loud as it should. hoping the ICS update will fix this.
The only solution I did with the loudspeaker, which I find quite effective, is this:
1. turn off xloud
2. download Speaker Boost from Play Store
3. follow the apps' instruction
4. in my case, I set the apps' maximum volume boost to 40 and media volume to maximum.
It's not as loud as it should even with speaker boost is on (even set to 100) but at least the cracked sound is now gone.

Except for memory card option, U is way better than ace plus.

NiYo, 27 Nov 2012i have gotan xperia u , its very good phone but thesedays i... moreto all people using it should use android assistant to keep the performance better , do a quick boost if the device is slow to clear some ram and clean cache everyday from tools

I have a question regarding the SW. I´m not sure if I should update my phone with the Sony PC Companian software to ICS.
After the update, is it possible to make the downgrade do GB with PC Companian?

Is d ICS update for xperia U globally released or is it region specific??
Heard that in some regions that sony has fixed ICS to be more stable
is this true?
If yes will this new update be available in India??

Guys should i really update to ICS??
I am not a heavy multitasker
but certainly like the smooth interface on GB.
Only worry is the battery backup.
Will the upgrade to ICS solve battery backup issues??

also I am not satisfied wid its results in night. They get worse wid flash.
