where is the ice cream sandwich android 4.0 update on xperia u ??????? sony i m really angry now ...its really shame for a company lyk u ..as xperia u users promised to get ics update on Q2 dan Q3 now its d end of Q3 ...and still on bored gingerbread version android 2.3.7 arggghhhhhhh :@ !!!!! pls someone give me the confirmed new when the android ICS update is rolling out for XPERIA U ...PLS PLS PLS let me knw asap ...thank you

The L7 has a larger screen, but smaller resolution, I believe. The only downside to the Xperia U is that is is running 2.3, but since it's your first android, it probably wont matter much to you, and it's gonna get upgraded to 4.0 soon anyway.
Basically, the U is better than the L7 in every way.

i got finally Sony Xperia U, its lovely one,its design,size and weight.really i love Sony mobiles its fantastic.
but i found its get hot very rapidly and get hanging up almost of the time. i need to now this problem related to Xperia U only or included all Xperia series.
i hope find a solution to this problem.!!

That's on strong 2G (because 3G is borderline so drinks battery as explained elsewhere) with wi-fi and GPS enabled. If I watched films all day or something, it would be much lower, but this seems typical patterns for a small phone without much storage.

... moreThere are various ways the RAM can be measured, and different numbers result. There is 512MB fitted, but some of this is reserved for hardware such as the high resolution display, and the Android system itself reserves a chunk for itself to ensure basic functionality.
e.g. Running services says: 190 + 120 = 310MB whereas Quadrant Standard reports: 376MB.
P.S. Don't worry about free memory being very low, since Android is based on Linux, it features Linux's very efficient memory management which keeps things in memory even when not in use, to maximise performance. If you run "cat /proc/meminfo" on a command prompt with e.g. Terminal Emulator, there will be a considerable amount of inactive and cached memory, that can essentially be added to that free.

Which is d batery model u al using in xperia u coz in specification says 1320 mah but I ave 1290 mah wen ful charged backup coms max to 5-6 hrs without net usage n less cal duration automaticaly btry reduces widout any usage plz any1 reply

I used this handset from last 15 day's
as per specification , I am not able to hear 3D sound. Infact this is the worst sound in Handset of sony.
Picture quality is good
After having the dual core processor , still it hangs
If you want to Purchase this handset for sound quality they don't buy it.
It is the lost of Money
