this phone dosent have 2k display,so what,i have the z3 its the same res,just little bit bigger,and my frend have z5 premium,and i dont see much of a difference,and you dont look in the screen form halt inch
ist dosent have 4 gb of ram,it dosent need it sony have great multitasking
camera dosent record 4k,is that a phone o camera? 4k just eat a lot of space,and 1080 60 fps is better if you ask me,im not shore does that phone have i ti think i 1080 30p,but stil if you dont record you want care
its a bit thick but its look good,probably wont bed at all
you il get the best multimedia whit xperia,preloaded app are not rubbish,they can be usefull,its build proparly like every sony,then stereo speakers,and waterproff desing,camera apps are usefull to iritate frends for example,and it wont lag its not samsung

Im so sorry, but really, I can livev with sonys camera photo shortcomings, as they are not visible at normal frame, youd have to be a photo cropping nut to even notice the difference, and at some instances lumia 950 comes out somewhat worse
But...
Id never ever pick a lumia 950 for its video
Its really, really bad compared to z5, as seen in this comparisson ;-)

The edge softness has been persistent on the Sony's cameras. Basically, the quality degrades when you get far from the center, the very edges of the photo can be particularly messy. So it captures more of the scene, but don't place objects of interest at the edge of the frame as you'll lose detail there."
Yet, some fanboys continue to be in denial.

I guess its better than s7. So sad dxo doesnt review WP phones.

The fact remains, whatever you call it boy, Sony mobiles have pathetic mid frame to border sharpness. So lets say it is postprocessing (which it isnt, otherwise the centre of the photos would be down on resolution as well) then why hasnt Sony fixed their algorithms? The poor mid to border res has been there since at least the Z2, persisting through to the Z5 and I strongly suspect in the X series.
You can't teach me anything boy, I onwned multiple phones including Sony and slr cameras/lenses. Dont come here with your little Z1/2 tendencies, claiming to know everything about camera systems. Lol.
Please educate yourself on lens resolution, how software processing is applied and how image stabilisation affects image quality.

The lens resolution is bad, plain and simple. Call it whatever you want though to make yourself feel better, point is, the res remains pathetic compared to the 950 and the S7. Sony smartphone = sure not a tool for landscape or architectural photography. They would have been far better if the used a Carl Zeiss lens. Fact.

In discussing camera quality with a bunch of you guys only a refference site is viable...
Cause you dont seem to care for anything more in debating.
And thus S7 is n1 by automode measurment, by a point.
What good is bringing extra camera factors into a debate, for ex highest ISO in a smartphone camera, or a fact that low EV level preserves most detail in 23mpx mode and negates the raleigh effect at that setting, when it is of no use here, guys like you dont even acclaim it as an advantage, you do not understand it, you dont even use the damn camera...
I did try that so much in the past, made a dozen linked photo comparissons that I personally made, but with no avail.
I just gave up after some time
So Avand and alikes, just dont even start on that here...
S7 is best as dxo mark says, I agree
I reffered interested parties to Flickrs pro photographers analyses of mobile cameras, so if interested go check their conclussions.
If you dont care what more people with pro experience have to say on the subject, then dont...
Its that simple.

You dont talk anything about exif setting, pro mode etc...
Now another device leads. You said its photo quality is HORRIBLE, the automode is BAD method. ????
I dont really care of it btw, i am not trolling. Just having fun.

There is NO lense blur you keep ranting of, no matter how much you try to turn the subject focus around...
Furthermore, you should compare shots within same exif setting to compare real quality, meaning same ISO, same mpx, same shutter speed, same white balance
Not automode settings
Do not be lazy, there are people there posting comparissons of phone cameras with same exif settings on sites like Flickr.
Where real pro photographers ( not opinionated fanboy folk) praise even old xperia z1 over galaxy s7 camera capabilities...
But I am certain you dont care...
Evenly enough, we that know sth about cameras, dont care about rants of fanboys like you
