What about Sony quality? I had k500, k790, Neo, SP, Z2. None of them ever failed or broke. Maybe blame people, who can't handle phones properly?

DenisXD, 31 Aug 2016just because im stating a certain drawback doesn't make me ... moreAt least SONY'd try. They had a professional engineer and had their own lab, at least they can innovate their product. I knew and I also sometimes can't understand Sony for not following the trends, but if you do research for Sony's smartphone review. You'll notice that Sony aren't poser like the other smartphone brands. SONY IS SONY! They're not Samsung nor Apple or LG or even HTC. They'll upgrade their upcoming smartphone based on 'What's their 'BIGGEST' issue' and 'What's people need 'THE MOST', not a tiny little thang. Sony already unveil the new XZ, and it's capable of recording 4K video, i hope you like that.

Prepare your set of tools and buy a lots of quality glue to fix the phones up when the famous Sony-quality strikes again. :-)

AnonD-481725, 30 Aug 2016I wish sony used qualcomm 650 in z3+ and z5 series. it was a summer day, and the store was pretty hot making the phone heat up easily. Ima try another time in my home in aircondition conditions, see what we can come up with.

Oh god! Please makes these people feel grateful with this art of technology. Sony did the best they could make, they had they own tradition, and I've admited that they're unique if compare with the other smartphone brands.

AnonD-481725, 29 Aug 2016Sorry about your name dude, i didn't mean it. ok i recorded in the settings you wanted, outside summer time with the sun over my head. I expected z5 to keep on recording forever, but that wasn't the case. Camera shut down at 11 minutes of recording.. maybe it was the sun and the fact that i went to a pretty hot store to get something to eat?

Anyway after I left the store Z5 stopped recording 1080p 60fps video at 11 minutes. Obviously I was wrong.

I just pointed out that Sony does do such thing and they often port technologies from their camera department to mobile division like hybrid AF, steadyshot and even Bioniz image processing itself , of course those features don't work so great on a phone as they do on mirrorless digital camera .

You seem to... moreI'm not trying to fuc.k with u, i state that the cameras are recording in the resolution you put em to record. The phones aren't recording in 6k and then downscale the videos in 4k, or 1080p.

If this was happening it wouldn't matter in which resolution we record, as the phone would end up being a toaster, literally. Sony z5 can record 1080p until it runs out of memory, and 4k until it heats up.
It would heat up if it was recording in 6k, no matter if i put 1080p or 4k as the end result.
