If you want 4K camera on the XP, it IS available. All you have to do is download Open Camera from Google Play Store and use that instead of the stock camera app on the XP. The XP IS 4K-ready, but for some reason Sony Mobile (in their INIFINITE wisdom lol) decided to lock that feature out of the stock camera app. But the XP IS 4K-ready!

Just pick the Xperia X Performance up today for $0 dollars, a savings of $700 by signing a 2 year data plan contract, $100/mth for 2Gb data, unlimited calling/txt. I like the 23Mp pixel camera, although the lens limits the sensor badly, and well, still a better camera than most cell phones. The expansion mini SD memory card slot, up to 256Gb is great....the mini memory card comes with an adaptor to fit other devices like a laptop. Sound is superb. Abit slower response compared to a Samsung Note 5, well, half the cpu, a quad core, compared to the 8 core of the Note 5....response lag is minimal, just need to close other apps. Adjustment to (non existent) bottom access bottons is less tactile than the Note 5, but other than that, mostly the same, abit narrower than the Note 5, great for smaller hands.
Overall i like the Xperia, that i bought because of the better camera, and so far, it is great, but lacks the 4k video capability. You get what you pay for, and well, it cost me nothing.

Yeah looks like the XR, but I guess the off... morefrom everything I've found so far in leaked info that I've been reading most of the claims are pointing out is that SONY will probably have two models :
regular Xperia XZ which is code named KAGURA with 5.2'' screen , 4 GB RAM .. there is also talk about QHD display this time around but I honestly doubt it and hope for FHD .
compact variant Xperia XR (or maybe just Xperia X Compact) code named KUGO with 4.6'' inches screen , 3GB RAM , 2700mAh battery and FHD display . SONY used ''R'' before for smaller variant of original Xperia Z http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5204&idPhone2=5421 but if this is smaller variant of xperia X then we also can expect SD650 with it LOL
Czech site also confirmed the name XZ and that means Z is not dead ;) at least no entirely...

Then go for it! :) Seem Sony also see the problems.This morning, My X get updated to latest update A.2.292, enhance the fingerprint sensor and now its working on passcode view too :).
Its perfect now.

Best smartphone ever, i had it for 2 days from my uncle, fantastic, the build quality brushed metal, screen, both cameras, but sadly that auto adjust is really not good, it doesn't show the real experience of the camera, people should learn how to use manual mode, the camera takes outstanding pictures, even in low light but with specific settings, good luck sony cheers :-)

Tann Hauser, 25 Aug 2016It could ve easily been made as a QC dock for newer phones.... moreIt was unique, but I think the issue is that people don't want to have to buy an extra cable just to use the magnetic charger (like I did lol). I did also like it though......it was a cool unique feature of the Z series phones. But I honestly don't see they would bring it back unless the phone came with the cable AND it was like QC 3.0-ready.
One thing I didn't like with the S7's wireless charging was that if you didn't have it like pretty much RIGHT on the center, it wouldn't charge. A bunch of times I noticed it would start out charging then I guess if it still wasn't "centered" enough, the phone would shortly later STOP charging and if you didn't check it for hours (like overnight while you're sleeping) you wouldn't know 'til MUCH later that it never finished charging. I'd rather just use a cable. lol

Anyways, the magnetic Dock was and still is a unique Xperia feature....
