And as we are both level headed individuals we can agree at times also, like in the case of the XP. Now you know I don't hold the Z5 in anywhere near the high regard you do, but it's clear now that the XP does not represent any where near the forward step needed for Sony to be competitive with 2016's best.

In fact, it may have taken a few steps back in some ways when compared to its predecessor. I really hope Sony have something big on the horizon, otherwise I fear for their future in the mobile space, because one things for sure, their competitors are not standing still.

I still firmly believe Sony have a place in the mobile market, but they desperately need to take the drawing board, flip it over and have a good think.

That kind of opinion is trolling according to some however,.

    We do however agree on something it seems, I have said for a long time now that DXoMark's results are a bit iffy. Even though they scored the 3 devices you mentioned the same, the 'reality' is that the XP is the best because you say so...you can't be that impressed by DXOMark either then eh?

    As for reviewers 'assuming' stuff, that's not how it works. Fanboys (like yourself for instance) like to just assume sh*t, reviewers draw conclusions based on the findings of a review...get it??

    The sunlight legibility of the S7 screen is higher than the XP, the dual pixel auto focus tech and shot to shot times are quicker, the low light performance is better. The reason a lot of people are saying these things is because they have been demonstrated to be true.

    Those two videos I posted in the link to earlier, go watch them, the guy doing those reviews could likely bump his head and momentarily forget more about mobile tech than I'd wager you'll ever know, I'll go with his take on reality over yours any day.

      great phone i test it yesterday in a store ! very beautifull design ! i don't understand people say x series is a disapointment ! all the owners like it and all reviewrs too. x performance is great but i have htc one m9 my next phone is next sony flagship .

It is NOT a better phone overall than the XP. Unless you think having Qi-Wireless charging is some big deal. Maybe if this was 2013, not in 2016 though, esp when it can't charge as fast as QC 3.0 can.

        Sony Mobile may NOT be perfect, but the XP definitely IS a flagship phone. Just b/c it doesn't have 4 GBs of RAM don't think it's not faster than the S7, cuz sorry, IT IS. I've already mentioned and given an example of this in very recent posts. No 2K screen? At 5", 2K is really no big deal. I'd rather have the extra battery life. The screen STILL looks great!

        The XP can get brighter than the S7 can too, which is helpful under heavy sunlight. I can actually make out the screen under those conditions where with my S7 I had to look for shade to see what was on the screen. The speaker is beyond ridiculous on the S7........I mean even the S6's was better. The Settings menu has improved since the S5 I had a couple years ago (for like 4 days lol), but it's still not the easiest to coast through. With the HTC & Sony phones, everything is simple & easy to find quickly.

        The Z5 was great in some ways, but the XP has a BETTER camera than can also take wider shots, and it's more color accurate and brighter than the Z5. It also has Hybrid Autofocus for sharper pics. The 4K screen was no big whoop cuz it was only 4K if u viewed 4K content. And I don't care for phablets at all, so I'm glad Sony didn't go that route with the XP.

          No it's not pointless, if you actually have a valid point. Like even though I think the XP is the best new phone around, I would admit 1) Although the battery life is very good (esp with Stamina Mode enabled), it still isn't AS good as the Z3's was 2) Not a huge fan of Sony putting the notification light WITHIN the the top stereo front-facing speaker when it should've been kept separate for easier viewing from the side (I have to basically look directly at it to even see it) 3) I'm REALLY tired of ppl still saying Samsung has the better camera. That is total horsesh*t! All 3 phones (HTC 10, Sony XP, Samsung S7) got an 88 on DxoMark, but the reality is I've owned all 3 phones and tested their cameras using OPTIMAL (though Automatic) settings, and they are NOT equal. No way. The 10's camera doesn't offer the same detail as the XP's and S7's, and the S7's is less color accurate and tends to be somewhat overly saturated, giving an artificial look. 4) The biggest BS statement of all is that the S7 is faster than the XP (which MANY reviewers seem to assume is true b/c of the specs) because it has an extra GB of RAM, but I know for a fact that isn't true. My parents' Xperia Z1s (released Jan 2014) I've seen it load things (not necessarily download, but load) up quicker than the S7, and it only has 2 GBs of RAM, 1 less than the XP.

            The x performance is almost xperia x but much powerful + brushed metal + waterproof.

On 2nd note I don't think I'm the only one considering xp a midranger, it doesn't have a good optimisation to record even fhd video, the camera shuts down after a few minutes. That's the reason Sony skipped the 4k recording entirely.

                2nd it doesn't have fm radio when the "outdated" z5 has. I don't get it lex.. seriously it's like fans all over get excited just because they see something new, it doesn't matter if it doesn't have things previous phones had, it's brand new! Praise it like you are a sheep in a herd!

                I was in the new sony phone post and said that bezels are huge in comparison to z5, which they are. And fans attacked to me. You know I'm a big Sony fan lex, we argued a few times here and there but when it comes to x performance? I'm on your side, it's a poorly optimised costly phone playing flagship among true flagships.

Its always good to experience something n... moreNoooo, you people don't make any sense, the second company which would be preferable after sony is htc, main reason it is taiwanese while LG & Samsung are Korean, so Samsung and LG both are in the same low class in terms of quality, and experience tells a lot. Seriously we had to ask about your ages before taking your thoughts seriously, anyway way have fun with your smartphones and we are already, good luck.

                      I recommend you LG phones, it has attractive UI, the best i ever tried. It looks like they think about everything. There are many handy software tricks.From waking up the screen, texting, inserting audio Jack, till turning off the screen, everything is fun. Now even when screen is off, its already has something for you.

                      And with Ir blaster you'll be the master everywhere. Its also fun we can snail in our neighbour garden, snoop them from their window, and turn off the TV when they are watching it.

                      I also recommend you Oppo phones, it also has a fun UI.

                                        And salsman will convince anyone to buy their product.How? Its easier if they have best selling product they only need to say their product is the best.

                                        For unpopular or low selling product slsman will also needs to put down the direct competitor, biggest competitor is the biggest enemy. For cheap product they only need to say, their product maybe not better but the same or very close in quality yet much cheaper.

                                        I hope everyone here can differentiate between review, fanboy statement, and product promotion.
