Sony fans say Sony has no bloatware.

Explain to me why X Performance has only 20GB free of 32GB internal memory.

    Agree on all of them. I didn't know that to have OIS you needed an extended lens. Interesting.

    Yeah TouchWiz sux a$$. My S7 does lag, ESPECIALLY when listening to music via the Micro USB port (headphones). And yes, physical home buttons to me don't make much sense b/c I find they slow me down more vs. virtual home buttons.

      1. No OIS for the camera - meaning no ugly protruding camera bump .
      2. No QHD display - means better performance and battery life .
      3. No TouchWiz - this UI besides that is buggy and laggs is annoying as f*** .
      4. No physical home button - feels cheap and it's makes use of the phone frustrating .
      5. No AMOLED - means no burn in and over saturated colors .

      Things that X Performance has but S7 doesn't :

      - Qnovo battery tech
      - Stereo speakers
      - HI-Res audio
      - Dual Sim DEDICATED slot

            Oh I CAN elaborate lol............ I have the S7, and yeah overall it's a great phone, but it IS a bit overrated and is not without its cons.

            1) Screen Brightness: Simply put, it f'ing SUCKS. lol My Xperia Z3 had better brightness than this phone. Under heavy sunlight, I can BARELY see my screen.

            2) Audio: The speaker is even worse than the screen brightness. Drum sounds render like someone's shooting a laser gun. lol Listening to music on it via headphones through the 3.5mm port is fine, but using the digital Micro USB port? Not so much. The phone will frequently skip or stutter during music playback which really annoys me b/c I pay good money to listen to Hi-Res music. Things get even worse if I go to watch/listen to YouTube videos with headphones and that same setup. The stuttering occurs pretty much the whole time or almost 100%.

            3) TouchWiz blows: Yeah the phone has the 820, so it downloads updates, etc fast, but when I am just jumping from app to app or doing stuff on my homescreen, my parents' Xperia Z1s (released January 2014) is ACTUALLY FASTER in responding than the S7 is. For real.

            Oh, and I don't like physical home buttons, so that is yet ANOTHER reason for me to be anxious to sell my S7 and get the XP in July when it's FINALLY released!

            Sony isn't useless, in terms of products, it's useless in terms of the people it allows to run Sony Mobile, especially in marketing & sales. Their phones are still gorgeous, beautiful, and wonderfully-designed, but the people running the shows in those 2 departments are epically stupid in many ways. There is no common sense there. You don't put out ads on YouTube only and not TV. Doing so only reaches those customers who were ALREADY seeking out your phones to begin with. You don't reach NEW people that way.

            They also need to start making ads that aren't so lightweight/generic....... start hiring AMERICAN ad agencies to do the ads right. Get big actors in your ads, like George Clooney, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, etc. Also, "fun" ads like this new one which are more personable will reach more people and make them care more about your products than the usual Sony ones do. http://blogs.sonymobile.com/press_release/rafael-mantesso-is-first-photographer-to-use-sonys-xperia-x/?rl=global-en They need to put those ads on TV, especially in the U.S.! And also, have ALL 4 major carriers involved in selling the phone. If HTC, Samsung, Apple, etc can do it, so can you Sony Mobile!

                Nothing compelling, I agree. But was there any compelling reasons to upgrade from Z2 to Z3?
                Talking about Samsung, is there any compelling reason to upgrade from S6 to S7. Nothing

                  Personally i would rather go with HTC 10 or XP because that AMOLED display of S7 is a huge con for me.

                            After reading all these comments I just have few things to say...Sony is the most useless company now in the smartphone market. .am not bashing mind you..used to be a Sony fan,but that died with the z3...I mean after that the z3+,z5,x performance,apart from the processor there's no real compelling reason to upgrade...and if that's not enough to get you pissed,they don't realise tthe x performance dosent even shoot 4k,why would i pick that over the z5???hier phones on time..by the time the x performance gets released phone with SD830 will be available. ..I dunno who gives Sony advice,but the person needs to be jailed...

                              Sony releases compact phones at yearly basis. Z3 Compact in IFA 2014, Z5 Compact in IFA 2015, so expect a successor at this year IFA

                                Step 1 should be: stop releasing new phones every 3-4 months! (yearly cycle or 8-9 month refresh is much better)

                                Step 2: Respect your current customers, Sony's after sales services are pathetic

                                Step 3: Price your products appropriately.. by pricing them above Samsungs flagship does not mean Xperia X will sell much especially given Sonys rep in the market (thanks to pathetic after sales service)

                                Step 4: make your products available..... I wanted to buy z5 compact but sony never released it in my country.....

                                lastly.. dont drop compact series!!!!
