I have always had Sony and this is extremely poor in comparison to previous Sonys. Ordered my husband Samsung s8 really regret not getting that. The edge is absolutely shocking.

Guys,
i'm affraid i have starting issue with yellowish place on side of display.
Sony, why? What is f*****g wron with you displays. I have M4 aqua before XA1 and have same problem. If i forgot this issue, XA1 is famous phone.

Guys, sorry to here for bad experience regarding this phone. I bought to my girl month ago in Pink color, over Serbian retailer and I still don't see any issue. I do every day diagnostic for touchscreen.
One big thing is that we didn't perform any software update yet, because I am aware of display problem from the first days of releasing phone. My intention was to try without updating in order to see if problem will appear.
So, other users (who didn't do update) can also try this and share their experience here.

This phone is great , I dont have any problem, The design is very Elegant , Camera is excellent , im using manual mode 23mp, This is best mid range phone

i also bought sony xa1 and im having with the same problem with the screen its so hard to rouch specially on the edge of my phone and the letter "p" i cannot click. also the notification bar. and wifi,bluetooth,data. im very disappointed in sony. its like they are selling defective phone. can the service center fix this? im from the ph.

ema, 09 Oct 2017can we request a refund? my problems same as yoursI also had the same issue, but with the P, 0 and "123" button. I don't know about your country but here you jave to give them about 3 chances to fix it before you can ask for a refund.

Xperia Xa1 is a poor quality product. The touch screen AND charging port stopped working with in 5 months. Sony is offering upgrade to Xa1plus at a premium. Sony should recall this product and offer refund to its customers. Buy Xperia Xa1 at your own risk

My XA1 came with a hardlocked bootloader, so it can't be rooted, bloatware can't be removed. Only a few things can be done to improve the phone from stock:
- Disable notifications for every stock Sony app.
- To remove low battery notification at 30%, stamina mode must be enabled and set to the lowest which is 15%.
- Battery life can be improved a lot by disabling adaptive brightness, then manually set lower brightness.
- Install the Greenify app to further improve battery life.
- The stock music volume is extremely low and the only way I could get an acceptable volume level was to install the PowerAMP music player app and then raise the preamp inside the equalizer.
Very happy with my XA1 after these mods, the only real problem with the phone is that the vibration is too weak on incoming calls which can never be fixed, since my XA1 can't be rooted.

Im using this for two days. Its still okay i hope there's. No problem in coming days i love 😍 its camera... So much with stabilization. At its price wow... I bought. This her in Philippines 🇵🇭. Sony store....
