so the premise is you buy a new product straight from dealers or company and then if by any chances you get defect product or something wrong happen within those period of the warranty as long as it's not user stupidity related, you could get a replacement or free repair at the very worst scenario. that's what i heard though,this is still a very new concept,hopefully every companies started to implemented this in their policies *finger crossed*

        Sony needs to partnership with Oneplus, to make better customization UI. Sony UI has been the same for years.

          I actually like the XZ1 bezel design, it's more unique in terms of craftsmanship unlike other brand going bezelless route. But wished they went Xperia Z2 style bezels. Nowadays people want bezeless display 18.9 ratio? For what? HD Porn? You can watch porn on a bigger screen on your laptop for better experience. Bezelless phones look stupid imo, for instance galaxy S8 doesn't have home button or capacitive keys instead relying on physical power button and on-screen menu. Because of bezelless phones most features are disappearing like the 3.5mm headphones jack which is becoming a trend and fingerprint sensor located on rear of the phone. Flagship phones had so much character in 2014 than it is now. New phones look identical.

Look at other divisions, they are doing well, but in the smartphone division they keep missing the few things that can already push them back to how they were when they release the XPERIA Z3. But, if they get the few things right, like the bezels and better low-light performance, next year is going to be their best year

I would like to know if this phone is worthed to be bought. I guess the battery life is around average but who cares, you can plug it in the wall outlet. I'm taking about the game performance, the camera performance both daylight and lowlight and the experience on browsing net. Thanks bro, it seems you already have this phone, I wish I could buy one.

                  ...and some people reading actually start believing these circumstantial false presented posts.
                  That is why readers must be very wary of trolls and their causes while reading sites like these.

But really, the chances are small, and it is normal for a brand to have some defects on some units, and Sony is not the only one that have some defect units, other brands are also the same.                       They all have equal quality control problems, Sony is definitely not better or worse than the competition, and users report them problems in user issue threads around the web.
                      You have quite a circumstantial fan based stance on quality control.

                          Yes all 2016 smartphones Sony no exception had limitations in video recording with high resolution or frame rate, but 1 min video recording is very weird watch this video..

                          In general this limitation been totally solved with the excellent new 10nm snapdragon processor as you can see in the video with the xz premium.
                          The big deal of Chinese brands usually is their cheap prices but you are saying the Huawei smartphone is even pricier than the Sony?? (o_0) lol, just get the xz1 without hesitation.

                            Currently owning Xperia XZ since last year, overall have smooth performance but battery have issues need 2 charges for a day, and also it can't record video more than 1 minute error pop up for overheat.
                            Although I like XZ1 design language specially HDR and 3D thing but Huawei mate 10 also impressed me from its looks and display
                            . Huawei mate 10 launch in uae at price of 2299 dirhams while Xperia XZ1 have cheap at 1999 dirhams..

                                Sony need not to follow the blindhead trends . Whatever Sony offers you is a pure Quality. Previously Xperia ZR n now Xperia X user, I know what a Sony smartphone is...?
                                I've just handled Xz1 for an hour, it is really a Great device. I'm much Surprised about the Camera improvement..!

Its the future and Sony will eventually catch up. You obviously don't undertand it. So, I will help you. With a bezelless phone, the phone is the same size but with a bigger screen. So, its all positive. Do you understand ? There is no downside to this. Nothing is being sacrificed. Technology is moving along with bezellesss screens. People who break screens usually don't have a case protector anyway. FYI, Sony will be using bezelless screens in 2018, so what will you say then ? As for Sonys dual speakers, who cares, as they have below average volume and below avergae sound quality. And Sonys rear camera has the worst in its class...go and read about it here at gsmarena. Your comments are lame.

                                    it's not about bezel less design.it's about practicality. if screen technology and material improved not just for display quality but reliability,robust, power consumption, and a great sensor/ai to detect hand touch on those display whether we actually just trying to have a grip or touch the screen.if all that could happen.yea.go bezel less design. and make the apps that utilize those bezel less.make the best out of it.but until then i want a proven product.i'm a customer not beta tester

                                      If we didn't see the benefits of Sony's shortcomings (as proposed by some), we wouldn't have purchased their phones to start with. If we wanted impractical bezelless phones with even more shortcomings, we would have bought them...
