Meanwhile I made a crop compare too, from arenas full res shots of both phones in lowlight.

XZ1 took shots at 1000/1200 ISO and 1/16 shutter, iph8 took them at 100 ISO and 1/4 shutter...

I really dont see how anyone can claim iph8 is superior to XZ1 in lowlight, and what the heck are revs talking about when they state XZ1 is not up to par to competition in lowlight?!

      I've compared the cameras of my iPhone 8, my brother's 6s Plus and the XZ1 which I bought to try and see if I would want to keep it as my secondary 'home phone'. I've already returned the XZ1 yesterday. It's a good phone. The speed performance, display, battery life and sound quality are all very good. But the camera is unacceptable as I already said in an earlier post. But I wanted to show you guys a quick photo comparison between the XZ1, 6s Plus and iPhone 8. Check it out!

        After the Sony Xperia xz in 2016, Sony recognized that they are in need for a new camera sensor since although the 23mp camera does excellent job in good light but it was struggling in low light, Sony introduced a new camera sensor "Motion eye" the most advanced camera sensor until now which has less mp "19" than its previous sensor but it has larger pixel size, the result was magnificent, additional to the excellent daylight photography Sony finally achieved a near excellent lowlight photography, while other smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Apple... went with the new dual camera lense trend contemplating for better performance and the result were a proof for their ignorance in this tech, most smartphone manufacturers again including Samsung and Apple went with OIS and EIS together "image stabilization techs" while these companies are struggling to surpass Sony smartphones which uses only EIS, btw watch these most famous camera comparisons videos for xz1, don't forget to share your opinion downside in the comments if you found any difficulties.

        Remember, there is sometimes fanboys of another brands especially Samsung fanboys trying to thread wrong information against Sony.

                my previous phone was xperia xz, i've got xz1 yesterday and i can tell you all from my experience not all fake stuff on the net that the camera is much improved in low light compared to xz but you have to use manual mode and do some settings and you will get some great pictures even without using flash, speaker are louder than xz, it really fast, and the screen is good too, battery is what make me worry but i need to test this more, btw 3d creator is great but takes time to get good result

                  unless u are using low light camera 50 % of the times, I could understand your choice.

Sony got slow somewhere..

Th... moreLoudness through speakers should not compromise quality of the output.. there is where XZ1 stays strong.. It won't produce u high db output.. it may run 5 to 6 db shorter than counterparts.. but output will be crystal clear.. no noise or stressed output from speakers.

I am not saying Sony is best in music department.. I say Sony is good in that area.. Get hi-res certified headphones and don't turn equaliser on.. check how good xz1 is..

                            Sony been always many steps ahead from the competitors especially in the camera department, this is definitely the most advanced smartphone, adding JOLED display next year and smaller bezels and booom perfect smartphone :D.

The XZ1 has much better speakers than the previous Xperia phones. But the iPhone 8 still has better sound through the speakers and through headsets too. More bass, warmer sound and louder. I've compared them and also compared the speed of the 6s Plus a couple of months ago with the U11. A two year old iPhone beat the Snapdragon 835 in pure performance. No phone can come near the A11 chipset in the iPhone 8. Apple is still the king of smartphone land. I'm not a fanboy of any brand or OS by the way. I like Apple, Sony and HTC. But I don't like Samsung, LG and Huawei.

This includes the myphone brand in the Philippines, do you mean almost all phone including samsung phones have bad lowlight performance because their camera module is came from sony. I guess the mistake sony made is it didn't give much effort on commercial propagandas in televisions. Well most of people watch tv more than surf net to see such media commercial

                                    Do you know why ? It's because Xperia just using qualcomm DAC which is the worst.

                                    Looking at another flagship you can see Cirrus Logic, Wolfson and ESS sabre DAC and also the nice headphone amp which Xperia never have.
