After that good advertisement on the Z2. I sold my ZL and went for the Z2. Then, When Z5 premium dual came out. I need a dual sim smartphone since my primary carrier has issues with signals. So I sold my z2 and bought the z5 premium dual. Problems with Z5 premium dual are short battery life. For only 6 hours of operating time. I diagnosed and tried to find the source of the problem. Guess what. After charging my z5 premium dual to 100%. I turn on the airplane mode and went to sleep. After 8 hours of sleep. My battery capacity is still the same! So the issue is with the antenna! And FYI, there's no way that I would spend a fortune just to replace the 3G/4G antennae, with the price tag of $150. That includes the service charge. I was hoping to replace my phone again after 2 years. Since last year up to now. Sony has been releasing a lot of same crappy models with lower internal storage!
I went to look on different smartphone brands. And I found a lot of them with better goodies! For example:
S7 edge has the edge menu, and has offered 128GB of internal storage! If you look at the last years sony smartphone. All of them are being offered starting at 16 to 32GB of internal storage. While the XZ is the only smartphone that was announced and released at the last quarter of the year. X performance smartphone isn't available in my country. With no apparent reason as to why it shouldn't be available in my country. And I know that the XZ and X performance offers 64GB of internal storage.
Note 8. Not only this s***er is a good smartphone. It offers 256GB of internal storage! What's even more is it has dual camera, has desktop experience support, wireless charging, and better audio bitrate! 32bit/384kHz. Who cares about DSEE HX if it only lowers the volume quality when watching videos on youtube or on downloaded content?
Asus Zenfone AR. This one is a real flagship killer against sony. 5.7 inch display, Daydream VR and Tango AR supported. Can offer 256GB of internal storage, DTS HD sound enhancement, and what's even more. It has a radio! Sony's flagship model XZ, XZ premium and XZ1 doesn't have a radio.
LG V30. 6 inch smartphone with a good hardware. Share's the same resemblance as the note 8. However. Unlike its other competitor. It has a certified MIL-STD-810G compliant. Which means. It's been tested thru a lot of Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests. And this smartphone is built for durability.
Now let me ask you. How does sony 's smartphone brands win against these oppositions?

For a same price you can get 2 maybe 3 chinese phones with same specs.
Price is only thing that matters npt many people wanna spend a lot to get a good phone.
Most of the trying to have best possible for a reasonable price.
But thats other brands not Sony or Samsung or Apple.

sony xperia is a smartphone devices that even a months, years or decade, it remain snappy and its still not getting lag unlike Sammy that lags af after 3 mos. B-)

Most of the time their battery is slightly more than others but others still performed almost the same with slightly smaller battery

Anonymous, 12 Sep 2017Does this endurance rating mean it will drain slow, if that... moreBy comparing the endurance rating of the sony Xperia xz and xz1, you can see that the major improvement is in the video play back which is mostly doesn't mean more efficient display, the major improvement should be the efficiency of the image processing which certainly means better battery life in all aspects, in the most kinds of usage, so yes the battery drains slower.

Does this endurance rating mean it will drain slow, if that's true then that's awesome. I'm still not happy with Sony's UI, it needs to be like Oneplus oxygen OS.

You got to admit its strange for a company like sony that are well known for design to churn out cookie cutter phones each year their not even close to Samsung and apple phones fit and finish you don't get that proud feel with a sony phone like you do with apple and Samsung. Sony phones are just for tech heads with no fashion sense who are interested only in specs on paper that forget its real world performance that counts. If Sony can fit a 2700mh battery in the XZ1 Compact, which has almost similar specs, they could have crammed a 3200mh one in the XZ1. That combine with the fast charging and power efficiency, XZ1 would have been my dream phone. So for me the wait must go on for a flagship phone with 5" size.
