                If Sony can fit a 2700mh battery in the XZ1 Compact, which has almost similar specs, they could have crammed a 3200mh one in the XZ1. That combine with the fast charging and power efficiency, XZ1 would have been my dream phone. So for me the wait must go on for a flagship phone with 5" size.

                  Unlock bootloader results the loss of DRM verify, that's why I never buy Sony phones again. Their UI is so old school, no option to customise or theme the android operating system. Just pure white UI to blind our retina's even the boot image is white.

                    He claims PS Remote play is useless without PS4, but I guess Desktop experience of his favourite is usable without Dex station, VR feat is usable without VR googles, he talks about dsee hx and clearaudio only for earphones, but I guess his 32 bit dolby enhancemens and stuff work exclusively on that single speaker of hes.
                    He thinks stuff like 3d creator and 960 fps are useless, but certainly finds value in dual cameras that dont provide any additional camera features except losless 2x crop, or edged screens, unreliable slow iris scanners that are only second gimmicks to fp scanners...
                    He finds 5 axis stabilisation on both cameras useless, but OIS wobble he doesnt mind.
                    Etc, etc....
                    Meh.
                    Usuall hater nonsens...

                            Qnovo Battery Care, if you are in the hurry and forgot to charge your smartphone. Let's say that it only has 22% battery life. Would you wait for hours to fully charge your unit?

                            DSEE HX, If you have an iphone device. Whenever you are listening to music or watching videos. Both have louder volume output. I have a DSEE HX feature on my xperia z5 premium dual. And from my experience. It's the worst software feature of all when it comes to volume output!!!! ClearAudio +. That exist from the older xperia units tends to have better audio output and clarity. So that DSEE HX you're talking about is pure BS!
                            LDAC? Only useful when listening to music. How good is the volume quality when watching videos on youtube or downloaded contents?
                            4K screen. Does any android app utilize 4k resolution smartphones? NO! Even when watching videos. You get the same quality as those 1080p videos. In this point 4k screens are useless!
                            3d Creator, does people care about making 3d photos of themselves? In asian countries. Most people do selfies a lot. And a smartphone that is specifically built for selfies are the most selling factors of all. Just like the AR effect app that was on the old xperia smartphones. It won't be used most of the time! So again, this is a useless app! 3d creator? Why not a tango AR instead?
                            Ps4 play and controller support. Useful only when you have a sony playstation. If you don't have one. What's its other uses? Although Controller support is useful when you wan't to use a ps4 controller on the xperia device. Not all android device utilize external controller support.
                            960 fps slo mo. Are you sure that you'll be taking a lot of slow motion photos all the time?
                            19/13 mpx cameras That's old news! Although it's good for selfies. It's not good when compared to the features that the LG V30 has:

                            That LG V30 has been recognized on the IFA 2017. XZ1 and XZ1 compact only got silver. Which means its a "meh" smartphone.
                            In built noise canceling, And you think noise cancellation doesn't exist on other smartphones? And FYI, its "Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic" NOT in built noise canceling.
                            5axis stabilisation? You mean EIS gyro? This also exist on pixel XL. You think sony is the only one has this?
                            rgb ir sensor? Where's your basis that sony is the only smartphone that has this feature?

                            Let me clarify you the other features that the sony smartphone is missing:
                            1. Improved FFS design for louder sound quality.
                            2. 32-bit/384kHz audio. Even the latest xz1 only has 24-bit/192kHz audio
                            3. DTS HD sound enhancement or Dolby Atmos when watching videos. Sony only has Clearaudio+ and DSEE HX which are both built only for music
                            4. Higher internal storage. Bigger than the 64GB internal storage
                            5. Bigger battery life.
                            6. Wireless charging tech.
                            7. OLED display.
                            8. 80% screen to body ratio.
                            9. Dual Camera System
                            10. 5.7 to 5.8 inch display so that it would be daydream certified.
                            11. Uses military grade components instead of cheap plastic material?

                            "Why even reply to a Sony fan"? I have a Sony Xperia Z5 premium Dual running on 7.1.1 nougat! Good thing that I didn't invest money on buying that XZ premium or has the plan to get the XZ 1 once it becomes available. This will be my last Sony smartphone! And you think that i'm a sammy boy? LOL! I'm a hybrid user. I have both an iphone and an android device. For the iphone part. I have the iphone 5S. And it's still a good smartphone even after 4 years. For the android part. I have enough on the z5 premium dual. Plan to get the Asus zenfone AR or the LG V30 smartphones!

                                I have a Z5 premium Dual. Running on 7.1.1 nougat. All I can say is. It's worst!
                                That DSEE HX sound improvement software? It only made the volume output lower even on maximum settings. I used a certified sony earbuds that are connected to the jack.

                                Battery life is also worst than ever. I thought it would last a day. But, whenever I put the phone on sleep. From 100% down to 80% in a span of 2 hours! I have no running apps on the background. Stamina mode is engage. Yet I experienced short battery life!

                                Charging is a problem. It takes 4 hours to charge my unit. And I'm using an expensive microUSB cable on a original 1.5A wall adaptor. Yet It take this long to charge? Sony promise the update fix for the battery life on the xperia z5 premium dual on the 7.1.1 update. It only made worst!

                                And you think S8, S8+, and Note 8 have the same problem as the S7 and S7 edge? A real shockproof, and waterproof smartphone goes to LG. Cause the LG G6 and beyond are using military grade standards.

                                I wonder about the 2017 sony smartphones. How good is the durability compared to military grade 2017 LG smartphones.

Sony focused on the essentials, fast software updates, durability, optimization, etc. I got nougat on my z5c earlier than the s7 and comparing them side by side, my uncle's s7 is way slower than my z5c considering I have many applications installed 200 to be exact, more than 10 albums containing high resolution flacs, tons of videos and pictures, etc. Issues? Well I will not argue that Samsung has way more issues (major and minor) to offer in their flagships; pink lines on s7 edge, chipping of the paint home button on the home (s7 and s7 edge), and minor issues. I experienced minimal to none MINOR ISSUES which can be fixed by software update. Durability? I dropped my phone 15 times and it only got scratches, dents, and cracks on the side frame. When I saw the cracks on the side frame of my phone, I thought it will not be water resistant anymore, but I was wrong.
