I still go for this, even single rear camera from xz2 is quite good.. Now they add another camera.. I will wait for the people's review regarding the 4k + hdr video recording..

So how can you replace the components under the battery? Yes, you definitely have to detach the battery with glued maybe broke it too. I personally not a hardware design engineer but I know the glue on battery isn't a great idea and it already stated by many teardown reviews long time ago. I glad to see the Sony improve and find out a solution to not using the glue on battery, it is much easier for repair the components underneath the battery and battery replacements.

You know nothing! Let me remind you the following technology which samsung has and sony will never have.
      1. Edge displays.
      2. When playing music. There's a lightning on the edges of the screen. Which makes a moody color when playing music.
      3. When the display of the phone is placed on the bottom. If there's gonna be a call, or a text messages. The edge display would light up.
      4. From the latest samsung galaxy device. Their 3.5mm jack headphone has 32-bit/384kHz audio.
      5. Up to this day. It is the only known company to make a stylus smartphones.
      6. Samsung Dex(Destop Experience Support)
      7. Bixby's functionality allows it to translate the text and sentences from different languages by the use of the camera. This can be used to read untranslated japanese manga!
      8. Daydream Supported Device with dedicated VR appstore.
      9. Has better accessory provider such as the powercase or the smartscreen cover.
      10. Better switches for the screen resolution.
      So thinking about it. These kind of technology features are what the user mostly wants on their mobile devices.

Neither I work for the samsung as the salesman nor I posted a suggestions regarding the latest android flagship device. But what have they released to the world is something that majority of all users NEEDED. Meanwhile, most of the sony features other than the 960FPS camera and software updates. Are those technology features were NEEDED by the user?

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! XZ Premium has better endurance on android nougat because it is the stock OS that was installed in the unit! Meanwhile, the S7 started with android M because it was released on 2016! Where the android dominant version and the brand new OS was the marshmallow. Before the nougat was even available to the public. The galaxy S7 was already released. And when did I compare the S7 to the XZ premium ? Did I even mentioned that device comparion when it comes to battery life on this comment section?

And you think that I used the antenna radio on my galaxy device for too long? I only used that when there's a report regarding upcoming calamities and the aftermath. Tell me, If you own a sony device. How can you get updates to the latest news report if it has no radio? How can you watch or listen to a news report if the transmission lines for the 3G/4G lte has been cut off. And the power lines are snapped?

Why are you pretending like a spokesman or a defender for sony if you know nothing at the world of smartphone technologies? Besides that. How can an android P beta tester enjoy using their android O beta devices if the apps doesn't work properly on android P since its still a beta OS? From a geek standpoint. Can an app work properly on a beta emulator with bugs, and glitches?

        Sony XZ2 is the heaviest, largest and thickest in its class. That’s a FACT. Also the ugliest. Hundreds of Sony fans admitted how ugly this phone is. Also NO 3.5mm headphone jack.

        There is absolutely NO reason for anyone to even consider tis phone.

          I'm not a fan of the direction Sony has taken with the XZ2. Considering this is the same company that made great looking phones like the Z3/Z3+/Z5, it's a shame actually. Big, heavy, no jack. And announcing the XZ2P in April and releasing it in August? Wtf Sony?

I still have the z2. all glass with zero flex a... moreI am using Xperia Z2 and I already hold and test the XZ2 in Sony Centre, I feel the weight is almost same Because the back curve cover fit the phone in hand with less slippery and more grips that's why I can feel it almost the same weight although the XZ2 on paper has more weight. The XZ2 is really gorgeous nothing like HTC, all the bashing are wrong!

              Predictive memorys, 19 May 2018Look at S9 and S8 teardown their sealed battery is mounted ... moreHalf the S8 and S9 components are held inplace by heat resist foam and glue, even most flex connectors, minor components are held together with flexes only, yes.
              And for ex, P20 Pro battery is extraglued to the screen, repair has to scrape it off in need for exchange, cant remove it without destroying it, flexes are plastic covered, etc...
              All cheaply assembled phones.
              XZ2 really shines in inside quality, yes, every component is on its own board, all have real metal connectors, all flexes are copper/silicon alloyed, antennas have proper holders, its really well engineered.

                Sony improve the Xperia XZ2 design from inside to outside. The battery is easy teardown because without using glue, it is a great design!!

                      Average person doesnt care about 2-3 mm thicker or 60 g heavier also. It is indiscernable to joe average.

                      But fact still remains...XZ2 was build to last, more so than its competitors.
                      And its weight and thickness has much more sense after looking inside.

                      Youre right on the jack tho, Sony made a mistake there.

                      But then again, I dont like phones compromising on built and component quality, and XZ2 is definitely not the guilty one in that aspect.
                      For ex, if weakly made, internal components are more prone to heat or drop damage, so be careful about overheat on those phones, or drops, else that 800plus euro/buck phone could end up in a dustbin...

                        XZ2 teardown is advance, I see the battery is not mounted on board and without using any glue, this is the improvement, I hope every OEM can copy Sony!

                              S9 is a lot lighter, thinner and smaller than the XZ2 (and remember, with a jack). S9 doesn't compromise on durability nor does it compromise on function. So why exactly is the XZ2 so heavy and thick? Huge vibration motor is powerful, but it's a gimmick and is still behind iPhone's taptic engine or even the LG V30's haptic feedback. Speakers are large, yes, but still not louder than the competition. IDK about any "extra protection plates", but the S9's frame is as durable, if not sturdier, than the XZ2's frame (watch Jerryrigeverything's videos). Thicker glass on the XZ2? Still the same GG5 as in the S9. Anyways, glass is glass and glass is fragile. Wish more manufacturers would continue making durable metal phones like Nokia does.

                              It's a fact that the XZ2 family could've been made a LOT lighter and thinner without compromising any features.

Like an entry level phone. Hence, it’s the heaviest and largest and thickest phone in its class. With no 3.5mm port.

                                    Sony is well known for its cost cutting practices over the past few years. That video proves that its more complicated than the Samsung S8, with more cables and connectors. Obviously showing cheapness and less technology.
