XZ2 has no extra space inside, but its glass is thicker, its vibrator is 3 times larger, its speakers larger, its antennas about 4 times longer, its connectors and flexes wider, longer, sturdier, battery thicker and bigger, NFC enormeously bigger, has extra protection plate, etc....
The difference in materials, size of some parts, and quality of engineering is obvious....
XZ2 looks much more better assembled, with more materials, thus heavier and thicker....
It is ones own choice, which is more quality...less materials and thinner, or more material and thicker/heavier...
After looking the engineering part of the phones, Id definitely go for Sony...

I still have the z2. all glass with zero flex and very durable. but reasonably thick around 8mm and reasonably weighed around 160g.
check its drop test with android authority on youtube.
no excuse for the stupid 10mm+ and 200g+.

Fortunately, it can directly save photos and videos to the microSD card. I don't know what's the problem with yours, maybe you should move on to another brand.

Because of that stupid google's decision to restrict SD card editing from android 4.4. I needed to root my phone just to be able to access and even use the microSD card as direct storage. And stop any forms of copy to the internal storage. Why do you think that there are two DCIM folders on each storage?

Can you found someone who is taking a lot of photos at low light conditions? The only thing that the camera is good for is taking upskirt photos or videos of a female wearing a skirt because it is dark under their skirt!
Whoever said that designing the XZ2 premium to be 6 inch is a worse design which increases fragility? How noob can you get?! Let me explain! If you move the sony logo on the back of the unit. And increase the size of the screen both top and bottom by 1 inch. Would that still considered as a fragile especially if there's still thicc bezzels on both top and bottom of the unit? Also the FFS is still there!

But if you are running on nougat. Endurance is worst since the OS primarily eats a lot of ram! Even using Sony PC companion and have it do a factory reset didn't solve my problem!

This is the reason why I stay out of the next sony xperia models because it doesn't have any radio at all. Sony might ditch the radio on all sony x devices. But samsung still has. And even up to their latest model. Still has a lot of radio. And this is why majority of android users uses samsung galaxy phones.

Was there a reason for samsung to join the beta? FYI, beta means that the program is still has some bugs in it that could affect the performance of the smartphone. So rushing updates isn't mostly recommended on all smartphones! You think that samsung is the only one who didn't join the beta program? Just so you know there are only 12 confirmed android P beta smartphones!

According to Docomo news releases, this phone is expected to be available through the carrier in Japan on August 1st. They tend to release Sony phones to Japan carriers later than other areas of the world (XZ2 and XZ2C aren't even available on Japanese carriers yet), so we can likely expect overseas releases sometime before August 1st.

I was just about to buy the XZP as I didn't want to wait for the XZP2 that might not come to my region but HOLY SMOKES! This thing is going to be an absolute MONSTER in the camera department, look at this! to say it stomps other phones in low light is to put it lightly. They're really trying to make the 13th wonder of the world - WOW! I'm going to wait now, I want this phone so badly!!!
