You just selectively play down Sony but you keep praising Samsung on the other hand... how bias are you!

The XZ2 has better details and color in low light photo compare to others.
6inch display is a worse design if it has tiny bezel and tiny frame, because it increase the fragility from inside to outside while a bezel is still welcome because it help user grip the phone and please be aware the bezel-less 6inch display smartphones will have the extreme bottom navigator and buttons and extreme upper notification bar positions which will force the user stretch their finger all the time in one hand usages. On the other hand the XZ2 has great dual front firing stereo speakers on the trimmed bezels and the less bezel is still usable for grip that's really nice and well balanced design.
You video show the IP test is more on commercial and less trustworthy. Sony has done it before but I suggest them to not do it again because it is more on commercial sides, I want them focus on actuality and practically and this will gain the trustworthy. Test both the IP65 and IP68 is obviously more trustworthy than any commercial gimmick!
You praising Samsung once more... the XZ Premium has advanced display panel that help to do the Pixel Complement and it save battery compared to Z5 Premium and that is why XZ Premium has longer endurance with less battery capacity. Please refer the specs pages on Gsmarena.
Finally I know why the Radio is much more important to you, so reply me on this subject because your personal preference show you more like a Samsung fans.
Stop defending Samsung, I know you want to protect Samsung because Samsung looks like miss out the android P beta so you can only underestimate Android P selectively.

And from the world of smartphones. I don't think I have any interest on any smartphones since except for samsung who has developed a VR smartphone with VR headsets. And I needed those for watching some private videos on the go.
So you base on the youtube. But anybody knows that youtube is also a source of fake news. So again, where's your proof?
Did you think that if sony has made a 6 inch smartphones on a form factor. I would have another excuses again? Think twice before YOU understand me! There may be a 6 inch smartphone that sony is selling right now. But the speaker location is mostly the problem! So imagine a 6 inch smartphone with bigger screen to body ratio and a dual FFSS? Wouldn't that be great?

Linus has dived into a salt water to test the waterproof of smartphones. I should have posted this before we started arguing about IP certifications. But nonetheless, I began to think how waterproof is today's xperia smartphones if it can't survive a dive on a salt water.

So unless you provide me a proof that sony automatically switches into FHD for UI display. You are lying.
MOST FLAGSHIPS don't have radio except for SAMSUNG! Which is why people prefer samsung galaxy devices! And you think that I needed to to have the earphone connected to my ear to listen to broadcast?

But whenever I start recording it. An Error pops up saying "could not save video" But if I chose the internal storage. It works just fine. Just so you know. I owned a 128GB sandisk MicroSD card. And This isn't a fake microSD card because I bought it on the store and not online!

Was there an API improvement for apps on android P? NO! Is it fully 64 bit OS? NO! Is AI a big thing? NO! Is having a less navigator buttons solves the problem on android? NO! If you're primarily using android phones for music, games, browsing, chat, video recording, and even watch videos. What does it differ from the old android Oreo? Only UI improvements? And just so you know. I don't care about battery saving because I have a powerbank with me at all times! And just so you know. Both Iphones and Samsung have third party providers that makes powercases. Which acts like a case and charges your phone without any wires! Meanwhile, sony doesn't have any powercases! Even this XZ2 premium won't have any powercases at all!

previous design: looks professional but sadly it has huge bezel.
current design: slim bezel but too thick, too heavy, and it looks cheap.
there were many problems too in the past like camera distortion, overheat, sudden death, etc.

It is limited to Full HD and Quad HD. So basically it's a technically limited due to the 845 SoC inability to render Ultra HD at 18:9 aspect ratio. So in order to achieve the 4K HDR display, Sony has to use the older aspect ratio of 16:9.

I have compare the on YouTube, the competitors still wash out the color but Sony restore the true to real life color, the RGB-IR sensor analysis the color that people cannot see, even in low light it can restore the true color and much better compared to any competitors. The real gimmick is wipe off the details and color and produce less realistic image and brain wash people it is similar as a DSLR quality just like the competitors always did.
I can read your mind, if Sony make it 6inch display you will have another excuses for sure, so let's drop this subject!
If you love your beloved smartphone get only just one IP68 certification then go for it and without any regret later, that's it!
IP65 plus IP68 double certification must even better on quality assurance, less test less check less quality less verification will only have just once IP68 test.
The 4K display can shift into FHD for UI display so it is well on battery saving, while the 2K is still not the future display.
About the Radio or not, I think you better choose a midrange because most of the flagships are without radio and remember don't turn your precious Radio when there is lightning on tornado weather.

You have miss out the Android P improve even more on AI and battery saving and less navigator buttons with gesture support. Oh I see battery saving is not important to you.

You have your own base when it comes to fingerprint sensor on the XZ2. Mines in the S9+. How long is your finger from the palm up to the top of your finger? Is it 2 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch, or 5 inch?
Even if you say that the sony has adopt RGB-IR from XZ. Unless you provided me an evidence about RGB-IR. It's still a gimmick from sony.
And whoever said that designing a 6.0 inch sony smartphone could come up with a notch? There are lots of 6 inch android smartphones and mostly don't have a notch.
How can a device with IP68 rating get a damage from a low pressure liquid if the IP68 smartphone is already designed as the 2nd toughness water resistant rating? There are lot of people already using tap water with low to high water pressure to wash their unit. And until now. It's still working just fine!
2k would consume more battery than a 1080? LOL! If a 4K is more powerful because it can produce best image and video quality. Won't that count as the heaviest battery consumer?
Whoever said that I would play games when a tornado is coming? A radio on the smartphone is used to listen to news before and after a calamity has strike. Where did your stupid idea come from?
My unit is Z5 premium dual. And just so you know. Ever since android 4.4 kitkat. You CANNOT write the files directly from the MICROSD card because of that stupid sd card writing restriction! As you can see in this forum from sony:

Just so you know. The camera on the Xperia is considered as an APP. So No matter what you do. You cannot directly select the microSD card as a default storage when recording a video.
Just like I said before. Why would samsung join android p beta if it was still buggy? And because of some recent article that I read. I already hate the android P. Why? Older android apps won't run on android P:

Do realize that Sony and Google are different brands. Sony is Japanese and Google is from USA. Google Play Store is another topic.

On a samsung device such as the S9+ has the p... moreAs I say it is all about personal preference, you hold the middle position of the example S9 but with the flat glass back cover is less grips and you just hold the S9 at the both side of the phone but miss out grip the base so it must be more slippery. While I always hold the phone at lower position of a phone and I try out XZ2 so my little finger can stopped at the phone base for best 3 dimension grips and the equaled curve back Corning Gorilla Glass cover is much fit in hand, furthermore most of the time I access the navigation buttons at the bottom of the phone too so it is much much easier to control the phone, the fingerprint scanner is easy access by swiping from left to center.
Sony adopt RGB-IR sensor start from XZ and it produces true to real life color and now the XZ2P have AUBE chipset to produce the even better image in extremely low light condition.
The bezel still there and most people don't like notch therefore the well balanced design must have the same size for upper and bottom bezel, so the 5.8inch is the perfect ratio with less equally dual bezels.
The waterproof rating for immersion is IP68 it is sure the highest water immersion level but the IP58 is a great rating to ensure the protection from low pressure liquid, the cheaper OEM can only highlight the IP68 because they only do the IP68 test in the lab and get only one IP certificate, while Sony comply both IP65 and IP68 test in the lab so it has premium qualifications to assurance they making the best waterproof smartphone.
2K display is unconventional display and mostly it comsump more battery a 1080 can produce the UI much better and well balanced on image quality and efficiency, while the 4K display will produce processing for best quality in image and video. Anyway the 2K is still not the conventional display and not for future.
As I said the Radio is for personal preference. If you everything must rely a smartphone so I worry the tornado is coming you still playing the smartphone game without awareness.
What is the phone you are using now? Can it record 4K video more than 1 hour? I think you can't. FYI the 4K recording already can save at micro SD card since Xperia Z2 so transfer the large 4K video file just have to pull the memory card out and insert in to a computer, that's it.
Join the beta program can become a tester, why every recently android version Samsung have launch it beta program but miss out Android P beta?

The cheaper OEM will cut the cost and use cheaper and less materials in the end the smartphones become fragile, example like Sampoong Department Store Collapse.

Sony is well known for its cost cutting over the past few years, So IMO, its all cheaper, hotter and weaker materials, hence a thick, heavy phone.

Where does it show the DVS is big and strong ?

Looks more like cheaper and heavier materials throughout. Plus there is excessive connections for a 2018 model.
