Sure, you can get some nice daylight photos. That goes for just about any flagship on the market. Lowlight performance is mediocre to terrible (unless you have a tripod stored up your butt). And while I like the omnibalance design and reflective finish, the screen-to-body ratio is pathetic. Those front-facing stereo speakers are also weak.

this phone sucks really , i've owned s8 and moved to this phone and was really disappointed by the screen ratio and the caméra performance is really bad

the reason why sony didnt do this before is: because they could not do it. sony is Very Slow in innovation ! and cannot compete with others.

It sounds like you know how to manually configure XZP's camera for a better result. Could you please teach me a little bit , for example in different scenario (sun light, low light) ? I just bought XZP and so far I haven't figured it out yet. I don't want to rely on superior auto mode. Thank you very much in advance.

Pictures are great, and whatnot outstanding, in presence of light... and Sony's EIS with 5-axis in video department is the best out there reducing shakiness even vs. hardware's OIS competitors... you can check it out -
Now in plain dark or just absence of light (only one LED flash) is just "meh" average... and it improved a lot in comparison to prior flagships but it's still a huge weakness; call it aperture, pixel size or a not-so-revised algorythm in the Bionz processing (like it was improved in the XZ2 despite having the same IMX400 camera sensor) but all in all great if you know to handle Manual... which lacks of RAW and also pretty much a lot of options like the LG UI camera app for instance...
Tripod? You get the same result laying it still over a surface

I love for some features on this phone like 4K display, 960fps super slow motion and somewhat had been planned to buy this phone but after view some camera reviews about this phone.... needs to use tripod, manual mode and somehow still produce decent pictures. Other brands like Samsung, LG and Google don't need to use tripod, just handheld and pictures come out mind-blowing! Come on Sony, take an advantages as a camera sensor producer! You've been ashamed for many years!

[deleted post]Red light? U mean the red light in the proximity sensor which lights up dimly? Encountered this issue before, but it only happens almost seldom. This thing is a norm if u set to Adaptive Brightness, since it is used to sense the brightness needed and it will automatically adjust for u. It also happens even if u are not using Adaptive Brightness. If u are wondering why sometimes your smartphone's display got a increase in white balance and goes back to normal, that is because of the proximity sensor, don't know when they added that, but it really helps in very sunny daylight, especially when u are reading an article

Except he prefer AMOLED, the Kirin chipset, infrared port, no 3.5mm headphone jack, a Li-Po battery, no SD slot and EMUI -
The P20 Pro Porsche edition on the contrary... well; I'm speechless and drooling... but also bloody expensive

Biggest fan of SONY... Please modify the xz premium like top n bottom bezels, edge to edge display, SD 845, camera OIS, design should be same. And Introduce it as xz premium 2018 version then it will the best phone ever... Good luck Sony
