reported 4.4.4 kitkat is on the way in October or late sept..my 4.4.2 is running fine. just make sure u factory reset before u update.

The Google Play Services takes a LOT of battery power and it seems the problem will be solved only when there's a new version of it. GPS also drains the battery a lot. I turn my GPS on only when I really need it.

plan to buy htc 816 or xperia z!!!which is better guyzz specs better in XZ but heard XZ hangs nd prblm with update too!!!PLEASE SUGGEST!!!!

I own this phone, running 4.4.2 and have no problems with the batterylife. As mentioned above it was due to previous Google Play Services version (4.4.52). All sorted out! I like this phone overall, but there are things I hate. The camera just simply sucks. My Nexus 5 and even my old Galaxy S2 makes better pics. Flashing custom ROM is also a pain in the a.s. I just gave it up after unlocking the bootloader and root. The design and the build quality is excellent.
