I'm from Australia(my Xperia Z is flashed with unbranded OS). I don't know how much DATA is needed to update cuz I used PC Companion. I updated the phone using USB cable. Before I was using 4.2.2, cuz once when I updated to 4.3(that was in January this year I hated that android version) the phone was smooth but battery was draining to fast and I didn't want to unlock bootloader in order to root that 4.3 version.
All this time my phone was running on 4.2.2. Two days after updating to 4.4.2 (.230) my phone is smooth, no lag, switching between apps is faster. There is a lot improvement on camera and all other stuff. Overall the phone is great now. About battery life I'm quite impressed. Currently I've got 15 hours on buttery and 2.5 hours on screen time. Battery left 50%.

i do not vare about kitkat here in middle east much more proplems come with it dear kitkat you are unwelcome

It is worth to buy sony xperia z online like flipkart because online price is much cheaper than retail market.

Is it true?? I was going through the specs of xperia t/tx/v/sp,in which gs marena mentioned "upgradable to 4.4.4"that's quite shocking.

Yesterday I decided to update my Xperia Z to 4.4.2 using PC companion. On first startup I experienced a lot of bugs and slowdowns, but I managed somehow to get to the settings and make factory reset. After factory reset the phone was so smooth, no lag at all. The camera is improved a lot, and the most important thing is the battery which is great compared to android 4.2. I've got 3.5hour on screen time using 40%....
