am having this mobile for 2 weeks now and it's a perfect choice for someone searching for a good-looking mobile phone .. it's very fast and it's screen is very clear .. battery lasts for 1 day with intense use but if u are a normal user it would last for 2 days and maybe more, there is also the stamina mode which is a must in some circumstances if you need to save your battery's life for the next few hours coming.
about the camera it wont be a perfect choice as it's not a real 13.1 megapixel like Samsung but am really satisfied.
about the water resisting issue i really don't have the guts to try it :D.
i luv my Sony Xperia Z :)) and i do recommend it

AnonD-215369, 28 Feb 2014hello, I got update this phone recently I get updated by OT... moreIf you device is rooted with unlocked bootloader , there is 95% possibility that you cannot install 10.B.4.1.101.
and you either still see the preivous version of Firmware update 10.B.0.569 or you get a message "Cannot install the update"(Happened with me both via OTA/PC)
if you are in India take the 6602 ftf file and flash your kernel...

Not sure if you have tried this ....
Method 1)
Goto Settings>Apps>All>Camera
clear data and clear cache,
reboot your phone...
if no luck try
Method 2)If you have CWM/TWRP some kind of recovery installed on your device,enter recovery and
Wipe data
Wipe cache
reboot system
if both the methods don't work.
Method 3) Flash stock kernal + Stock ROM (See XDA Forum's for procedure).

the camera is good but not as good as S4 I think it became forse in the new firmware not sure.
nothing can resist water in every condition

i have this phone, for me, the water resistant was not completely true... this WILL sound stupid of me for tested it out. and took it to service two days after.
what i did was i put it in a glass of water with music on for a half an hour. both camera lenses got wet inside...

i have sony xperia Z...........if you planing to buy this phone make sure you have one more pockets in trouser there u can carry your charger......else u have only the body of the phone......which is off....battry back up........... lollllllllllllllll

i dont know if i should buy this phone because everyone had their different experience.does this phone a water resist ? or not ? and about the camera is this really blured ? :( help me out guys i really want this phone but i had worries.

I was a big fan of sony smartphones, one of my worst experiences realized me not to buy or promote these phones from sony. I own Xperia Z, few months before I noticed pale pink color on water indicator near charging port and reported the same to sony service center. After a through check up made by sony, they reported no problem and phone is alright. Now after few months later, I faced ear speaker problem, and reported to sony saying this. Sony replayed back saying that, phone cannot be repaired, it can be replaced but the pale color on water indicator near charging port says that it is a water damage and hence warranty is voided. To get replacement for this phone, sony has asked me to pay somewhere around 85% of actual cost in the market. This is very dissapointment for me and I regret for buying sony and their worst service delivered. I sincerely apologize to my friends for recommending to buy smartphone from sony.

KEN, 08 Mar 2014ive been using the sony z for 3 month now and it kept loosi... morei've the same problem but the problem with me becoz the operator service is not good and the coverage is little weak but it happened when travelling by car most of time

I have been using this phone since a month, after updating to 4.3, my camera is not working properly. Sometimes it gives a message like 'Error, Camera not available' and sometimes it works normally. It could be a software problem might be It couldn't have been installed properly. Guys please suggest what to do?
