advice, 01 May 2013amoled means (Active-Matrix Organic LED)so what's your point of giving out the meaning?...I know that ....if your pointing out that they both make use of LED yes, but they are different.

Well i have to say that the claim the screen is shatterproof is totally not true, after shattering the screen on my Xperia Z this morning. I accidentally dropped a small bottle of perfume onto my phone and the phone is now unusable. The screen has shattered and the touchscreen is unresponsive.

guys !
as phone is running well the only question is after few days in stamina mode it does show that 3/4 hours left?
as i go to apps, eco mode controller, clear data and last force stop than restart it again goes 3/4 days and few hours?
i am doing this regularly after few days?
why it is happening? anything to wrry about?
and other thing is any better way so that i can optimise battery at full level to get better performance?
what should i do?

Sony Xperia Z is one of the worst phone. The screen is not at all durable, as the sony global website brags about the the phone is stronger and durable.
The company website states :-

No one knows how to best pack durability into a beautiful design like Sony. The slim 7.9 mm body, with its reflective glass surface, looks and feels slick, but Xperia Z is crafted to be water-resistant, dust-resistant and tough enough to handle whatever life has planned.

How solid does a precision engineered smartphone need to be? How about as solid as a car? Xperia Z’s frame is made from glass fibre polyamide, the same material that’s used as a metal substitute in automobile parts.
3) Durable glass
The durable tempered glass on front and back is a lot stronger than conventional glass. And with anti-shatter film on the front and back, Xperia Z is anything but fragile

Unfortunately after 15 days of buying this Xperia Z the phone was been dropped by a kad at my home from dining table annd the screen Scattered the body also got cracked. I had been to Sony service Center and they do not even know the cost of repair. I tried to convince the the staff at service center that the website phone mentioned that the phone is strong so how did the glass schattered and the body.obtained crack from just 3 feet dining table.
The phone also heats up even not in use or while not charging, & the audio quality is low, and even the battery optimizitation mode does not works properly,
When called up customer care they are of not appropriate help. 1st they informed they not know the cost of the repair. Later they say the phone cannot he repaired and they have to replace the phone with the additional cost that is half the cost of new phone.
Senoir executives do not reply to calls, they are arrogant and rude.
Moral of the review : The phone ” Sony Xperia Z ” is not worth a buy, Xperia Z is not a “A” catogary phone. Cheap glass, and heats up brings disadvantage to phone. all I can joke is the phone is waterproof so that one can make the phone cool by immersing it in water…
DO NOT BUY THE PHONE FOR EVER…

unremoveable battery which means i always carrying power bank n thats really annoying
no dual shot camera :( LG n samsung they have this feature

for me samsung s4 is better than XZ and that's is an honest comment...since z is now cheaper than s4, it is better to buy the XZ since the price is cheaper and performance is not that far from each other. in terms of the display I guess that is not important at all..if you think it's a big deal well for me it's not..I just prefer performance of the phone and some added features in it. to tell you honestly I prefer the led backlight compare to amoled because I find it better under the sun. You can try and compare it.
Battery is to be considered also before I forget, considering the massive capacity of the z it is weaker compared to samsung s4,and you can replace it. Unlike the Z

I had both in hands and despite some minor differences the Xperia Z is better value for the money, plus it's waterproof which is really pretty cool. Performance difference gets irrelevant if you count in Sense UI being slower and more clunky.
The only thing the One wins with is the display quality, but on Xperia Z its size is bigger while the phone itself is not.
I'd consider the Galaxy S4 though. It's all around better than these two, but more expensive and some people don't really like the design. It's solid though.
I think the Xperia Z doesn't look as great in real life as it does on the pictures (and it feels a little weird in hand, the HTC One does as well) but it's still a rather stylish phone.

I have previously owned the S8500 with Amoled screen and the difference was particularly striking. Looking at the "newer" LCD makes me want to cry. I have an IPS screen in my TV, S-PVA in my Pc display, I used to have Amoled in my phone, and now I have a TN LCD in my smartphone.
I think you're not going to be bothered only if you don't have any better comparison. Most people use TN panels in their PC displays so.. I guess it's not as striking for them. If you've used anything better before though, the Sony display quality is really rather poor. If you've used AMOLED before, you're going to cry tears of sorrow.
Every time I see the TV commercial praising this phone's display it makes me want to kick their butts. Advertising the weak links seems to be a tradition now, HTC seems to advertise their.. camera. Gosh.
