[deleted post]i think u need to polite yourself ,i am here talking about phones and i didn't insult you.
as i told u i am not a fan boy of any company ,because i am not a kid any more and because i like to spend my money on the best product regardless the manufacturer.
neither samsung nor sony pay me money so i don't care if they win the market share or they lose.
the iphone 4s also uses the gorilla glass,u need to read before u post.
u asked a strange question!!!!
why would any company produce newer version of its product?

really boy,if the companies were thinking like u ,there would be no xperia s then xperia t and then xperia z,and there would be no galaxy s,s2,s3,s4.......
i don't care if the gorilla glass is better or the dragontail is better,i was talking about the obligatory scratchable screen protector than sony puts on the scratch resistant glass,because it is pointless to put that type of glass if u can't use it without screen protector.
the gorilla glass does not need shatter proof screen protector.
i saw videos for both s4 and xperia z drop z,both phone screens were cracked.
although i am using a sony phone but that will not make me lie to people and promote for sony.
i visit a lot of pages to help people choose their phones.

my sony xperia Z is getting heated after use of 5-10 minutes.the performance of battery is not good enough.I hered the same thing problems from orthers too.

excellent camera,excellent design,excellent performance,excellent batterylife and price.
its worth to buy this phone no regret...

screen is not bright enough(full brightness). Feels like iam watching through thick glass window. I wish i had bought samsung s iv. I cant see a thing under direct sunlight. camera is also not good, night images are horrible.

There is no saving once a phone of this size falls on a concrete floor facedown. I have a note2 and don't expect it to survive such a fall (it does have gorilla glass). I also have Xperia ZL (had Xperia S before) & honestly think sony devices have a way better build quality than Samsung (which easily yield to daily wear n tear, bezel paint chipping off, sqeaking, flimsy pasticky feel etc., let alone surviving a drop/fall). All these drop test are pointless imo as I've seen note2s shattering from just 2 feet high while others surviving 4 feet drop!
Xperia Z is a very good smartphone. Each phone/brand has its pros n cons, so does the XZ, or GS4 or HTC One. Hence, I buy the one that suits my needs better, whatever brand it is, and do not trash any particular phone/brand!

for the first time in a month it's midnight 00:04 and my Xperia z battery is still 22%!!!! I unplugged at. 9:45 am and sent two large 100mb files over Bluetooth,3 hours surf maybe whole day,2 hours chatting at intervals, watched couple of videos and played doodle jump half hour and have been on 3g all day! everybody in this forum dont allow battery to die at 0% everytime it never works!!! this should be done maybe once a week but instead u should charge mostly at 15% and do 6-8 cycles!!! this has helpee me as my Xperia died till 5pm everyday with same above usage!!!! opinions please???

shivam, 26 Apr 2013tft screen very bad . snapdragon processor with andereno 32... moreyour'e speaking nonsense, as an owner, it's a very good phone but it does have its faults:
bad low light camera
sometime certain apps just won't tap
problematic location for mic (just where you put your hand when your talking)
decides to go silent by itself...
other than that it's awesome, the camera is my biggest drawback but i'm still very pleased
