Update, did some indoor shots again in good indoor light, its very sunny and snow outside, making it real bright inside as well. Now the Z starts to pull well ahead the Note 2. More punch in the colors (bravia engine is set to off for now) and Note 2 seems to get only green color well saturated, others look more washed out.

waterproof just make this phone have rubber cap hanging everywhere, it will be easily broken.. and when rubber cap is broken, tada, your phone is no longer waterproof

Cant match iphone 5, or SGS3/Note 2 in optimal light conditions but as PA said, Z captures good detail indoor, and the colors are better than Samsung, for example a grey jacket got a slight green tint from the Note 2 camera while the Z got the color perfect (indoors, no flash). But all in all, colors aside, i dont think the Z is better than Note 2 indoors. Both are good enough, for me, i dont expect Sony NEX quality in dim indoor light.
The front cam was the biggest disappointment so far, its really grainy indoors. Looks good outdoor or in bright indoors areas but in "home" lightening conditions its noticeable inferior to Note 2.

I have had the phone for 3 days now and it is on the whole amazingly good. Its liquid smooth in looks and in terms of interactions on the screen. No lag whatsoever on the whole. I'd go on record saying that no phone for the next year will surpass this by much so its a safe bet to buy. Further, it just looks so good, cannot remember a more put together phone.
Of course, i think its easier to write the faults:
-Screen can seem a little washed or bleached out. Its as if the 'contrast' needs to be flicked with a bit.
-The camera app can take a bit of a while to open. About 2 or 3 seconds at times.
-the phone comes with enough bloatware to make you scream. A lot of it is un-uninstallable. [rooting, ofc, sorts this out but yeah..]
- Its easy to press the 'home' button whilst typing as it is non-physical and directly under the space button. VERY ANNOYING
- The little flaps that cover the ports may just break. They seem strong but over a 24 month contract...
In all, its a great phone. The very best android has at the moment, in one bundle. However, for now, I will stick with my iphone5 x

how is the cam result of ur Xperia Z? particularly of photos in bright sunlight & low light?

Got my Xperia Z in India today for Rs 38k. Extremely well built and has a very premium feel to it. The custom Sony UI looks really good. The phone is lightning fast..no lags whatsoever..I'm loving it...

Dear All,
I am planning to buy either Nokia Lumia 920 or Xperia Z today. Can any one suggest which phone has better rear & front cam when it comes to shoot in low light & full sun light?
which phone has a good battery? i have a data plan & wont be using wifi. my basic requirements r, I need a good cam, good touch screen without any lag & watsapp. I only make short 3-4 calls a day.
please advise.

Go to Settings - About phone and make sure it's not a grey market C6602. Not that there is anything wrong with the 02 but it does not have 4G and better be cheap. In any case I guess it's only in-store warranty.

sony only focus on water proof but whats another its has??
-not good screen
-sh~~y camera
-non removable battry
-high cost
-mid battary but not good at all
-weak speaker
then sony want to cover all this sabotage with water proof!!

I love the Z .. after 2 days of use i can say:
great look
great features
the media app is amazing comparing to any smart phone.
very light device considering its size
things i Dont like.
the battery is Bad i wish they had istalled something last longer ..
it gets Hot whith intensive use.
just to give heads up ... I got the Z after Samsung Note 2...
