From Biffy of XDA Forum of UK Users:

Things to come for those picking up the XZ..

    http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2169853

"My battery ran out after around 20hrs mixed set up / playing use, with around 4hrs screen time.

I've moved up from a Note1 and much prefer the ui of the Xz. However screen-wise, I don't see that much of a sharpness improvement from the Note1. Also, because of the on screen buttons, screen estate actually feels smaller, despite the increase in resolution, which I'm disappointed about.

Really, if the 720p displays sucked less battery, I would have preferred the Xz to have one.

Am also desperate to get a dock (waiting for cheap generic one to appear on ebay), so that I can charge without faffing for covers, as this phone is going to need it.

Have not tested waterproofness, I think it's crazy doing that. I am just going to use that as a backup feature for when it's absolutely needed."

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2013......this phone has been overated.....just got it from Sin... moreYou are right bro. The only specific feature in this phone is water resistance. I actually expect more from Sony. Also UI of this phone seems like privious year xpera s and nothing new. The display also not too vivid ike HTC one. I can rember 2-3 years ago they positioning their product by camera quality and music quality, but now they can't do it because everyones know htc has the better camera and music quality. Now they try to attract through meaning less water resistant and dust proof features. Next time Sony please innovate something cool.

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2013its the no:1 phone in the market......this phone has been overated.....just got it from Singtel.
Other than its waters proof , there is nothing to fancy about.
Screen is not 5 inch when u taw into consideration that the 3 home button
              Sitting On the screen itself.....

Uncmfortable to hold due to its brick squarish design......they should stick to Xperia S design........
Note 2 and even 0ne X+ is faster...
Will be shadowed by S4 and HTC one very soon...

memo, 01 Mar 2013Received this beauty yesterday, all amazing except one thin... moreThe signal indicators of phones does not mean much. Try to take both phones further away from the router and see if one will have signal and the other not. Some phones can show many bars when the signal is actually weak

I'm sure it's fine. Maybe the router is at fault. You may just need to get a stronger one so that you won't strain the battery with the extra work of connecting the wifi. Another is to stay within 5m of the router. This device is the ultimate Android to date!

Received this beauty yesterday, all amazing except one thing! The WiFi receiver is weaker that that of the Xperia TX ( I've got the two), in a range of about 10 meters my TX sowing full so signal while z showing only two ( connected to same router)!!

I don't have an agenda to protect note 2's reputation, unlike you with your grey market imported unit that does not even get updates ahah.

Wanna know what is hard to defend? The note 2 display. Upgrading is not optional for me, I need a clear display without color clipping. I do not appreciate bad text quality and giant bands in gradients. Stop spamming about the Z battery life and look at your own phone.

I'm on a trip today, in car and ferry. Have to use full brightness on the Note 2 and hsdpa connection. Battery is already down to 87%. And full brightness is a must today. After so short time in Facebook and browsing. It was 88% when i stayed writing this post. If I write a Lil more or will be 86. As I said before, it's no problem to drain down in short time. I guess it is better than the Z but my point is that 5 hora screen time on the Z is not a bad thing and now my battery is down to 86%

It's a beauty indeed. I found the width of the phone a tat too large for my small hands. The screen display is gorgeous. I found the speakers rather weak. It is otherwise a very awesome smartphone
