The camera quality in both still and video is not as expected and SGS3 and Iphone 5 are better. Please go to photo and video quality compare tool in gsmarena and see it for yourself. Though the design is awesome, camera in xperia Z is a big let down.

abdallah, 15 Feb 2013wait until Samsung Launches s4 it will be the world talking samsung will copy all the good features, and adding the worst design again, putting a slightly bigger screen and yell their new flagship is the best in the world. Too bad people believe that and buy that phone.

ZL looks compact with grip, camera shutter button, IR sensor for remote
tough call.............

Anyone who's looking for the xperia Z should also look at the ZL. Same specs as Z but the ZL also has a dedicated camera button, back that doesn't look as good but is more grippy and isn't a fingerprint magnet, smaller than the s3, one x and lumia 920 with a larger screen, slightly cheaper, slightly larger battery, an ir module to act as a remote. Only disadvantages are the higher thickness (offset by a curved back) and doesn't have water and dust resistance (do you really need it? And I bet not having a glass back is a lot more important)
