Great phone among sony and also all over the other brands...
At firt of all It has the great capacity of battery performance...
13 MP camera
5 inch display with bravia engine2.
441 PPI pixel density...
Water proof that no other brands have...
2 GB ram...
16 GB internal memory with card slot too...
Sony xperiaZ will bring a blasttt.............

I really don't understand why people comparing old S3 with new Sz ? Sz is a great device with some cool features like Full HD, 13mp Cam, stamina mode & specially dust/water proof but if u study properly u will know that only dust & water proof feature is new & quite useful only coz its a costly device & we don't want to damage it by dropping the phone in water otherwise there is no use of this feature if u handle ur device carefully. I am sure that no 1 wants to listen song or watch video by placing their phone into water. ya its good for people who wants to show off :)
Other feature like full hd, 13mp Cam is not a new thing & i think u will gong to see many new phones going to come soon with this features.
About stamina mode Sony really needs that coz its having low power battery so if any other device is providing more powerful battery [3000/3500 mAh]then i think its a tie. ya but still stamina mode is indeed a good feature with low & high power batteries as it surely going to help to manage background processes.
About other features like quad core, 2gb ram this are old things which Sony is introducing now so i think comparing S3 or other devices with Sz is fullish think. What if now new devices comes with 2/ 2.5 GHz or 6 or 8 cores ? coz when every one is producing quad core Sony is busy with dual core & when time is come for more cores or more GHz Sony is now playing with quad core.
There is no point compering models with its features as Technology is changing very fast so i think its only a personal choice now. Only matters is design, performance and durability.
Lastly i just want to say that Sony is indeed introduced a great looking beautiful device with some cool features but its not going yo work for long so they have to work harder to race with others. Good Luck.

You have Google note in android which will blow away everything else as they incorporate their search database and Google glasses technologies. So Sony phone if it has better hardware specs and indestructible will be better. Better camera screen etc. I an sure the s4 well try and up the ante but the indestructible thing is huge. I already cracked my first s3 and its certainly not as well made as the s1. It's not about the phone manufacturer as much as it its the android. Sony has the best phone for now. Then HTC Samsung and Motorola will release theirs. There is no easy for Apple to keep up.

It will certainly come with a charging dock like the acro s.

Just like s voice being different to siri so theres nothing new about stamina mode. Smart Stay However is new technology that Samsung made. As for Water resistance, Samsung don't feel the need of adding that feature because not many people use their phones in swimming pools or beach and will make the phone more expensive to buy. Sony Xperia Z has a nice design but thats about it, the specs is not very impressive and the features is still 2012 technology.

WHY WHY WHY such a small battery Q_Q
I wouldn't mind an extra mm of thickness for a bigger battery.... oh how I miss my Sony Ericsson P1i ... battery used to last a whole week with moderate to heavy use!
My Galaxy note last 9 hours with moderate use and the battery is 2400 mAh!!!!!!!!!
would have been the perfect Android of the year :'(

Smarty stay is good but it can be fixed with an app on other phones. Smart rotation does not really work well enough to be used. I disabled auto rotation all together as it is bad also on note 2, it sometimes malfunctions if the phone is used while i lie down on the sofa.
Z is my next phone. I'm already sure. Note 2 is great but not that great. Will try to find a nice capacitive stylus for the Z already tomorrow in the airport in London or Abu Dhabi, coz for sure i will miss the s-pen.

very good but I think one thing is missing.
it has all opening in flaps because it is water proof.
But I personnaly hate opening flaps. I never pull sim card or micro-sd in and out.at least not for serval months.
headphone jack uses can be avoid by Bluetooth headsets.
But charging is that thing which we want in every 1 or 2 days. and I think this phone should have wireless charging so that I dont need to use flap.
expect that it looks excellent.
