We dont know yet if Samsung Exynos 5 will use the 8 core option, or if it will be switching the A7 cores off when the A15 cores are active. It requires extra power to keep the A7 cores active while the A15 cores are working but Yes, acording to ARMs whitepaper the chipset manufacturers will have the option to make big.LITTLE an 8 core chip by a simple firmware flash. Still, its most likely that they will keep it a quad.
On the other hand, we may be reaching a performane saturation. Krait cores are 3 issue, which makes them somewhat compareable to A15, the question may be if Krait is already enough, will people feel the need to go for A15, and more so, will they feel the need to go for A15 when the A7 cores will be doing 95% of the work? The quad kraits of Xperia Z may be enough, and then the Galaxy S4 suddenly find itself competing with Sony on design, a battle Samsung have no chance of winning. Sure the S4 will sell more than Xperia Z, but thats because of the enormous momentum Samsung has built up, while Sony is still gaining momentum. Maybe, just maybe, Sony can gather momentum faster than i think they can but i doubt it, but i KNOW Sony will slow down Samsungs momentum quite a bit, even if its not enough for Sony to get near to Samsungs sales numbers in 2013. By 2016 Android will have choked iOS, and Sony will have gained more momentum, so maybe by 2017 Samsung will be the one trying to catch up to sony, but ONLY if sony play their cards right in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
And i think they will. Why? Because Samsung has just now, in the last year, 2012, broke free from copying iphone, we cant deny that the SGS2 was a direct iphone copy, both in exterior and in UI. Sony has never even been close to copying anyone, rather the oposite. Look at Samsungs TVs up untill 2H 2012, are they not shameless Sony copies??? Yes tey are, indeed. If only Sony released Xperia S, Ion, Acro S, T, Tx or V in time or just a little behind the Galaxy S2, HTC Sensation and XE, Optimus 2X and bunch of other dual cores, they might have taken the crown by then! Sony was just too late back then in releasing dual core phones but now they started the year with a bang! Even HTC did! Both of the companies are the first to release 1080p screen phones, not even Samsung thought of that or at least have done that? Maybe in a couple of months though? Sony, LG and HTC have the best designs out there that even Samsung can't argue with but, Samsung did a great job in the era of the S2 so now even the not-so-pretty S3 is very successful! Thanks to the one that set the benchmark which is the S2. In 2013 Xperia Z opened the door alongside HTC but Sony made the loudest noise compared to the Butterfly and everyone is envious of the Z and ZL's beauties. I somehow feel the pressure on Samsung's part that is why they decided to drop the bomb, an answer to what Qualcomm and Nvidia have released,their Exynos 5 which has 8 cores. I think Samsung told themselves that if we can't pull off the design of the S4 then let's give them an 8 killer cores! haha! Now that's a new rise of battlefield that Sony, HTC, LG and the rest would have to keep up with Samsung! In other words, battle for flagship phones this 2013 is bloody hell! Anything can be possible! People think too inhuman! Now let's see on the other hand what innovations are there opening up for Windows platform, the new look of BB10 and the overrated iOS platform! Who would win? At least, Sony did a great start! ;)

i was just hopping that the xperia Z won't be built-in battry because i had a bad experience with Xperia Acro S because of the same, and i guess the sony people should look at this ponit, for the phone to be water profe is a good option but for the battry to built-in it's not really good thing specially if the unit hang as any electronic divice you don't have much choices to make it start working again but to send it to the service center to fix it for you, and God knows how long it'll take untill they return it back to you!!

Going to try this beast especially if the mp3 part has headphone surround option and i can physically handle in daily real life use its size.
