sony z1 and z2 which is better?

Hello there. 5 days ago I got my Z1. I have one problem only - launcher (or screen). Looks like launcher is 0,5mm moved up and if I start some app I can see a line under the launcher colored as the app I'm using. At the beginning it was flashing. Now it's just there, and not all the time. If I'm on my homescreen the line is more visible, if I go one/two screens left/right line is less visible ot not visible at all.
Exsample:
- start game, screen is white - line is white, color in game changes, so does the color of the line.
Tried installing new launcher, it is worse. The line is still flashing.
Called support at the country I'm in and all they could say is ''give it to us''.
I don't want kitkat on bcs I've read on support forum that there are way to much bugs. Anyone had similar problem?

Set your 1st equalizer bar (400mhz) to +10
2nd bar (1khz) to -10
3rd bar (2.5khz) to -10
4th bar (6khz) to 0
5th bar (16khz) to +10
Set Clear Bass to 0
Turn on xLOUD to get a little more volume. Your speaker may distort at times if xLOUD is on.
Despite these custom settings, volume will still be on the low side but clarity and bass is hugely improved.

when it comes to sound quiality, for me, z1 is weak. how's your Z1 audio for you? even i adjust it in highest level of volume, it's sounds gentle compare to samsung. and one more thing, the battery drains so fast. i'm very disappointed in audio quiality. i ain't say anything negative except audio and battery. the features, camera and everything were doing great. Don't hesitate to buy this phone.

nickysor, 26 Mar 2014I have just updated to latest sw. I have the issue with the... morei also have a problem with it until now as the new update the kitkate is good but its a lot slower than the older one jellybean and there have been a lot of app crashes specially the camera and also sometimes the sound comes out of the ear piece not from the speakers so iam waiting for the next update other than that i it is good

I have over 40 apps installed from which I use more then 8 at the same time and have found no issues at all. The heating problems happen to all phones, but since real quality ones have aluminium inside the heating is more noticeable.

I have just updated to latest sw. I have the issue with the sound coming from the earpiece but i went to sound setting and unchecked clearsound, then everything have returned to normal so far. Battery isn't better yet, but all day long i've played with the phone. Notification bar is nicer and more stock kitkat. Scene mode is back on certain resolution on manual mode. The is 16:9 mode on manual. No 2k recording yet.

I finally sorted out the battery drainage issue after the latest kk update. I installed operations & battery monitor systems and disabled all programs that had a high cpu rate & power consumption. It seemed to have been a software problems with the google+ programs.

Has anyone noticed the Aspect ration of 4:3 on Superior Auto after the KK update? It's better than the 16:9 one. :)

I was big follower of Sony, now I hate Sony brand because the design of the product, all the Sony design and the colours just look dead ugly and unwanted, I don't know why Sony design the phones with black front? Is look ugly, Sony need wake up people don't like the sort of design front black and back with deferent colours, all the phones should be one colour, either fully white, or fully black,.

sakthi, 25 Mar 2014just wait for a z2 friendzz... :DVery true, wait for Z2, do not buy Z1, you will regret, thats for sure.
Those who cannot wait for Z2 should go for Z1 Compact, the difference in battery life is tremendous, while Z1 cant last 6 hours for light usage with screen on (like texting), the Z1 Compact can do 12-13 hours! Expect similar (or better) battery performance from Z2, this is because of new display technology used in Z1 Compact and Z2.
Z1 is the worlds fastest phone, really the fastest, but only when it comes to draining the battery, its superspeed, 1% every 2 minutes when doing webbrowsing at bright display settings.
