i heard that the phones good but i wanted some advice about wether i should buy z1 or nexus 5 plsss suggest me the right choice....:)

I bought a new XPERIA Z1 as I am a huge fan of japanese craftsmanship and quality consciousness. However, I am thoroughly dissapointed- the phone severely overheats with few programs running...the camera cannot produce 20mp resolution pics in auto mode....- I can still live with it all- but just after 2 days of buying the phone, its display went "black" and wont come on for a long long time. After multiple switch-off/on it will rectify the error. This has started affecting my work now...the camera also gives hazy images at times in "auto" mode. I cannot believe this is a japanese product. I am seriously considering junking off my week old phone and go back to my old phone. It didn't promise as highly as Xperia but kept up to its modest promises.... I sincerely hope that manufacturers take note and rectify their design flaws...lest the phone gets branded as one that "flattered to deceive"

xperia z1 is too costly and less features it dont have octa core, dual sim...go for canvas knight it have octa core, dual sim, and 16 mega pixel camera and many more this is amazing mobile...

jazup25, 22 Mar 2014z1 or zu? pls help...Both are crappy, dont buy any of them, both has totally horrible battery life for all tasks that is done with the screen on. ZU has a good display, thats all i like about it, and Z1 i dont know anything nice to say about it. Wait for Z2, its just around the corner now.

After kitkat...hav problem of sound coming from the ear speaker and not the main speaker....Sound disturbance in message tone..

Has anybody that upgraded to 4.4 kit kat notice that sometimes the sound is coming out of the earpiece instead of the loudspeaker?

In Singapore; Phone Upgraded to 4.4, font a little bigger & sharper, touch key sound is much sharper/clearer, new layout for notifications/settings, one major disappointment is the apps still cannot be moved to SD Card (I wonder what is in the head of the SONY team as the phone only has 12GB internal and can't save space to move apps to SD). FILE commander apps cant be uninstalled,can't hide the apps either, if price is much lower than Note 3 than it is worth buying.

ladiesman 007, 21 Mar 2014can a z1 go in salt water and still work well??? cos i wan... moreDon't use it on salt water, I've tried it on their first water resistant phone the xperia active and the water sips in the phone, it's ok in swimming pools

Someone can tell me if with the 4.4 update the z1 has any improvement in the battery, display and the camera? I'm thinking about buying this phone and I wanna know that, also if you find an improvement in another thing or a really nice new feature also tell them.
