my comment is about Sony phones in general. Sony phones are very good with high specs and beautiful design but the company lacks one thing and that is adverts. Samsung has made it bcos of constant adverts in the developing world so much that almost about 80 percent of smartphones in Africa is made by Samsung.my advice to sony(ericsson) is to embark on an aggressive media campaign and promotions to be able to challenge Samsung in the developing world. I love Sony so I want to see it on top not in third or fourh place.

It could be better at shooting low light but overall it just cannot best the Z1. One thing I have to point out is the downside of the 4mp ultrapixel camera, cropped images look bad.

I went to an Xperia store this afternoon as I accompanied my friend to buy an Xperia L. I checked the displayed Z1 and compared its screen to mine and BOOM! Mine really has a screen issue, the yellowish hue. It's evident in the notification toggle. I am honestly kind of disappointed especially that I cannot return this anymore to the online shop where I purchased this as it's already beyond the 3-day replacement period. -_-" but I guess I just have to make the most out of it and do some remedies like apps to tone down the screen issue. -_-"

It's stupid, the last Sony phone I remember to have a usable flash was the Sony Ericsson K850i, stupid brick of a phone by to today's standards, had a 5MP camera... But it had a proper flash, why can't they put these into modern smartphones?

you must be able to view 1080p videos, I have an old Galaxy S2, which is alot slower than the Xperia Z, and using MX Player (free on play store)I can easily view 1080p mkv files on my phone.

i recent recently bought xperia ZL but it seems need to upgrade to z1 soon after seeing all those beautiful and positive remarks..... will wait till the price reaches Rs30k mark will buy it then...

I really love this phone so much ,so far so good no hang no lagg ! But right now having some problem with me .when I have received incoming calls and just after I push the answer button or when I make outgoing call just after I push call button screen becomes black till to call ends.
I need to press my unlock key button he only will turn it back.what's the problem with my phone?any solution?

I don't have any protector that cover the sensor.

2 full days from this beast with 19% remaining, best longevity I had from any smart phone! Awesome..... BTW, since the software update, the camera is even better and I guess that is what affected/improved battery life! Enjoy.........!!

Even the Galaxy S4 Active doesn't have an AMOLED screen. And even though the Z1 isn't IPS or AMOLED I still think its screen is great. Photos and videos look great in this device.

I bought a Z1 and from what i read here , it has great battery life. Not sure about that. I have everything turned off, blue toothh, wifi, all my apps disabled, my phone sits on my desk in screen saver most of the day and by days end the battery is almost at zero %. Any thoughts or help are appreciated
