The first of all , alder people ( most of them ) not using small phones and not android .
I am 45 and I don't have any problem with small tex screen but ,when I takin TGV from Antwerpen to Paris , I want comfortable play games , read news and just enjoy my trip and not take with me 3 phones for different porpoise .
It's very personal if you like or not something ( not only gsm ) I jus trying to help people to avoid quick decision on the hand of fake or payed revues .
Again - This is very good phone , but not top model , like they describe it.
Very good buttery , excellent day light camera , super quick processor and screen is like all Sony ( nothing special )
I will use this phone just for show and not for my work .
By the way I have 5s but just for collection , like my other phones .

Thats what i like, i dont like Apples philosophy of putting big things on an already small display, thats for the far sighted old people. WP often gives the same impression, you have to wonder if it was made for visually impaired people. Im sure it can be good when you are already used to it, like you are with your iPhone, but if you could get used to that inefficient use of display real estate then im sure you can get used to the Z1 Compact as well.
In any case, this is an advantage in my book.

Also try to avoid full charge, this is more difficult so for practical reasons it is hard to follow the "rule" about not going above 80% charge. One of the worlds leading battery experts, with a phD in batteries, said "as a simple rule, charge your battery before its empty", thats to make things practical for the users, but he added that keeping a battery between 40 and 60% will increase the lifespan of a battery with 20 to 25 times. Sounds great right, but its hard to do in practice for many smartphone users, especially hard for those who dont have a portable power bank.
Lately i been trying to charge my phone using a timer, i set an alarm or a countdown in my phone so i can disconnect the charger before the battery reaches 80%, i just estimate the time and with some more experience i expect i can make quite accurate estimates.
Just remember:
- Always charge before empty
- Try to avoid full charge

For me the biggest drown back I'd screen - it's bigger ( on the paper) than 5s but in reality it's look smaller and everything is sow small.
Camera??? In daylight is less than 1520, lg2g and same like 5s.
I just spend one hour with low light and 5s is definitely better.
Ifyou have normal hand you will have a problem for email, surf and read long text. For to carry for show is perfect phone. Sorry that I disappointing you.!

Why don't they make phones with home button under the screen? This way the home button takes a part of an already small screen.

to take low light pictures. My Z1 did not have this problem. Very bad reputation for Sony not to reply quickly to hundreds of complaints about flash bleed problems in the most loyal customers who bought this z1 compact as quickly as it was introduced with their trust and confidence in Sony.

Please do not let you bother by the comments about your English. I can understand very well what you mean. My critic to the camera sensor was after checking the comparison tool on this website. The iPhone 5s (even the Z1) clearly has/have a better image. I really think the retail unit which you have is different. I am waiting for this phone (not yet in America) specially because of the camera. Would be nice to read something about it comparing to the/your iPhone 5s. However I could notice your "not to amazing phone" speaking for the Z1C has changed a little since yesterday. have fun with your phone. Greetings.

A great device. Finally some manufacturer (who else than the tech giants like Sony) has realized that flagship phone do not necessarily deserve giant hands. I have been waiting for an android phone like this for ages that was easily manageable, had great camera and battery as well as aesthetically pleasing. HTC One is the only phone that was perfect in that regard but its camera was a let down. Well done Sony for producing this beautiful device !!

525 Euros is over 700USD shipped. We have 20% import tax on phones here so it is going to be the most expensive mini/compact in the phone shops IF they get it. HTC mini is only $420.00 USD and i-phone 5s USD 525.00. I think I'll save up till the i-phone 6 comes out. 4.7" sapphire screen 7.6mm thick rumored to be out this June.

He sounds credible and i dont see any bias, he is saying both good and bad things about the phone, no bashing.
