I am from India.. After updating to KitKat (14.3.A.0.681), new incoming messages are not notified on the status bar.. I have checked the "Notify in status bar for new messages" box in the Messages -> Setiings menu..

yeah! good battery performance and camera performance after update to kitkat! camera has improved drastically especially back light scene. drop down menu is good. overall phone OS is stable. I like this beast a lot. Price of RM1699 in Malaysia for this kind of specs are too good. Screen size, portability, durability and IP57 for water resistant absolutely a must have in the modern day. SONY keeps up your good work. Do make a smaller up and bottom bezel and you are definitely going to enjoy your market share! SONY keep rocking with your TV and mobile division!

sup, maybe right. my phone is keeping the data and wifi on in a whole day round to keep my mails sync and my messenger (whatsapp) always on. My xperia compact ends its day with 62% charge remaining on it and it sleeps at night so sound draining only 5% of charge to keep itself alive in the second day of normal use. By the end of the second day, all connections will be cut off as "low-battery mode kicks of at 20% charge threshold..........

Reza, 09 Apr 2014I bought z1c 3 days ago. It is a very nice handy phone. But... morethat only means your phone is faulty ..... mine only goes down by 1 or 2 %....go to the store and report the fault and try to get it replaced
