This phone is awesome ,I have been xperia fan boy since 2010 i've been using xperia arc for last 3years and jet 2months ago i got this Z2
there is no lagging in this phone even with less then 1gb go internal memory left ,m having external 32gb on board which means internal is only for applications
camera of this phone is simply gr8 those exmor gets u a era good pic...hdr is not as good as samsungs but then samsung shows more colours which means it fakes colour
viewing angle is good 178% and u still can clearly watch
and more of its n WATERPROFF PHONE making it THE BADASS

som, 25 Aug 2014last day my s5 dropped from my hand n now its not working p... moreYou have already used s5 (plastic plate) with high price tag:)
S5 and all galaxy series have no durability and you have to pay extra money frequently to Samsung service center:)
Z2***** is better better than s5**
Firstly, you can get 3g RAM in Z2 for managing more apps and 4k shooting with super SD card
Secondly, you can get stereo speakers and stereo sound as a high_end smartphone in Z2
Thirdly, you can experience" vibrant IPS Live Colour Led display "and "premium Ominibalance design" with superb waterproof quality
Fourthly, Sony UI& camera UI is more easy and useful than laggy touch wiz in daily use and" physical camera button " make you feel like a true pro camera in Z2
Finally, Z2 always use same chipset (801 snapdragon) globally UNLIKE Samsung s5:)
So ,Z2 is a wise choice

The evidence seems irrefutable that you did not close the flap, hence the white part turning red. It was designed to catch the liars who try to blame Sony instead of taking responsibility for their own stupidity.

got 4 phones for my family under a plan here in the philippines. 4k heats up fast not happy with JUST 10mins video, used 1 for taking picture in the kiddie pool everything okay until fog on the lens appeared and went like crazy not touching anything but keeps opening every app on the screen and shuts down. went to sony for warranty only to know it is not covered by the warranty because the white thingy went red according to sony technician. imagine that... a waterproof phone that does not cover warranty if it gets a little moisture.

Main drawback in z2 is tat we cant edit any type of file which is in sd card. Coz kitkat (Android 4.4) restricted tat iption....

dew, 25 Aug 2014why people say z2 heats and it have many problems is it true ??As you seem to love comparing it with Samsung Galaxy S5:
Z2 is far better constructed than the Samsung, heats less than Samsung, battery lasts considerably longer than Samsung, sound quality both for calls and for music is light years better than the Samsung.
However Samsung's camera, despite lower sensor resolution, is able to retain a large amount more of details, both in snapping and in video mode. On the other hand the movement on Sony is smoother than on Samsung.
Both are good phones, although Z2 looks far more premium phone than S5, and is far more waterproof (look at the "seal" of S5 and ask yourself if you'd really dare to get it wet) while S5 on the other hand allows you to change battery, which Sony doesn't…
So choose based on what's important for you.

well i can record 13minutes in 4K :/ no downclock
reason why i can 13minutes not more my internal was FULL LOLOLOL (not underwater no aircond)

The phone's heating is not a problem for me because I used stamina mode for my Z2. Nonetheless, This phone is a perfect phone for me.
