Reminds me of comic magazines and cartoons, the self destruct button is always in the most central and easy to reach place, its like begging for disaster to happen, not so far from what Sony has done here.

Dropped Z3 Compact from 8 inches and screen shattered. It didn't land on screen. It hit bottom right corner. No damage to corner, but had a small scuff. There is no way a screen should shatter from an 8 inch drop. I'm now in a battle with Sony about my "abuse" of the phone.

Z2 did great on those....
There is no reason Z3 shouldnt do great,cause its build is, at least on paper, improved just in those "drop" areas

My z1c has perfect earphone and speaker sound...
No doubt z3c too...
Not the loudest output, but best frequency range back noise reduction out there which gives hifi sound. e xperience quality....
Just have to use proper headphones for it
People tend to judge sound quality by only this here sound tests interpretation...
But it is faulty interpreted by the reviewer, claiming the negative number listing is better higher but in fact is better lower ( -60 is better than -90), and so on...
Furthermore people tend to use their old headphones that are not 3.5 jack compatible to their newest phone standard, I have 5 old sets here that I cannot use witth my phone as they are not compatible...

Can someone that has the Z3C and already drop it...if you had any problems with the screen ? Crack or no crack ? I want this phone, but I don't want to buy it if this is true.

I have bashed Sony in past but this seems great smartphone.So I am glad given them another chance and not stuck with my original thoughts of them.The screen is very vivd and great colours.Audio so far is superb just Like Nexus 5 so that Snapdragon chip is superb.Even though compared to Samsung the Z3C has poorer audio scores it does not show the audio through headphones is superb..I used to always want Wolfson audio chips but after Samsung Wave/S/S2 they went downhill with S3/S4/S5.
Just getting things set up and letting battery flatten,,it came with 62% battery.I always flatten then fully charge new batterys 6-7 times then do what I like with regards to charging.Flipping open the flap to access USN port seems fine to me ,dead easy.
Got 8800 about on Nexus 5 with Quadrant but this is 21,200 score..I am not that bothered by benchmarks its real world use and this is OK at the moment will see after few days.
Last comment is the two plastic covers that come on Sony Z3C stink to high heaven of some kind of rubbery glue with vapours coming off,

Higson, 31 Oct 2014Gave sony a second chance.. so glad I did..Amazing little p... moreMe too i hated my last Sony with washed out colours and bad angles (S OR T MODEL) but want a phone sized smartphone..All the other companys smaller efforts have resulted in giving them midrange specs.Sony is only one to not do this.

Gave sony a second chance.. so glad I did..Amazing little phone, fast and feature packed and I love the size and styling... I can see my self being a long term compact series customer,

thanks brynn for the reply. considering SIM issue normal, the phone is really good though it's bit slippery. regarding the touch it's just awesome. I liked iPhone because of its touch and now I forget it. and battery is really very satisfactory. moderate use can give almost 36-48 hours. no more worries about dead before time and in crisis like outside home. camera is so far superb.

Note4 (Exynos version) has very low GPU for graphic and gaming
Moreover, note4 is 49 grams heavier than Z3 compact and it is a large, heavy phone with clumsy style

Laggy touch wiz suck battery:)

Norwegian phone site amobil dot no did battery tests with heavy FHD video H264 and talk time, where video was 75% of the score. Z3C came out only #8, Z3 on 4th place beaten by Note 4 (Exynos), S5 and Mate 7. Even Galaxy Alpha with its tiny battery comfortably beat the Z3C.
Note that webbrowsing and standby times were not measured, especially the webbrowsing battery test would have benefited Z3C.

On paper very similar phones, but i... moreThe difference in touch is to be expected, before the Z2 all Xperia phones had horrible touch thanks to the shatterproof sheet on the display. Its also the reason why i didnt buy Z1C, oleophobic coated glass is a must-have, the display sheet was the only thing i hated about my Xperia Z, never again.

Its a shame for sony to have such a poor attention to its customer opinionsand feedbacks.shame fot not to be able to develop a flawless camera software. I own a z1c and its camera hangs a lot not working and needs the phone to be restarted to be able to shot more photos. I really am tired of this ridiculous problem and had plans to replace my z1c with z3c maybe this problem is solved in its successor. Í see that defect still exists in their last flagship and I cant say anything except í feel sorry for you sony that are unable to solve such a problem.
