Got myself a z3 compact and its a very all round gadget , previously i had a z1 compact and it is a very good device , though its speaker placement and volume levels were not good. its good to see sony fixed all those problems and built this great mobile. i dont know why gsmarena said its volume levels are average because my sony mdr xb70 sounded louder than most phones out there . using headphone profiles they were so loud that they were shaking and slightly slipping from my ears. thats super loud , the ui is also not changed much. bigger icons and new themes only. sadly o didn't got noise cancellation headphones bundled. and will test the new high iso feature later . price 41300 inr .
Pros - bigger screen in z1 compact size
2- better ip certification
3- walkman series level sound quality (loud , very loud )
4- light weight
5- glass back panel
Cons - no gorilla glass
2- noise cancellation earphone not bundled in india
3- no freebies , flipcover etc .( a few premium app like office and avg antivirus pro is free)

I have XSP and want to have a newer, more powerful phone with the same size, not bigger. I guess this is the phone for me. Better battery, better RAM, better camera and better chipset, with lighter body.
Can't wait to have it. It's a shame it's not available in our region yet.

Love this phone. My 4th day.it's really nice. But google have made a hash of kitbag 4.4. You can't save apps to sd card anymore. If I had known this I wouldn't have purchased

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2014Stop talking about SAR if you don't fully understand what i... moreYeah these SAR ratings are very unfortunate but it can also be useful if you want to compare signal strength, lab tests have shown that the higher SAR rating the better signal (naturally, more transmitter power = higher SAR = better signal).
As for those who use SAR ratings for deducting cancer irisk, they are all from India as it is the only country where a scientist has said that cellphone usage causes cancer. That same scientist is being laughed at internationally since all extensive studies has come up short, they cannot find any damages whatsoever even at very high intensity. Indias view on SAR has undoubtedly damaged their international credibility in science and research, the SAR case is just too flawed and so poorly executed.

They are not too bright. About pickup vs sedan, last time i bought a car someone tried to sell me a van ahah, and they even got offended when i pointed out "but this is not a car". As i said, not too bright.
